Formula/ Texture:
This is a buttery smooth consistency. It's very easy to apply straight from the bullet. There is no skipping/ dragging and really glides along the cures of the lips, coating them evenly in one application. A second coat only solidifies the colour.
This wears evenly with no feathering or lip liner. The longevity is 6hrs with eating/ drinking decreasing this. While this is short I was expecting this from the buttery texture.
The formula contains a complex called Maxi-Lip â„¢that defines and hydrates the lips to make them appear fuller and plump. I noticed this lipstick to keep my lips hydrated but not plump, unless UD is referring to the finish giving this illusion. The formula also contains no parabens, sulfates, phthalates.
So it contains good ingredients like a blend of avocado oil, cocoa and shea butter to moisturise the lips so they feel cushiony soft. I like lip products that benefit the lips and not just hydrate it. With this formula my lips feel a better version of themselves. I just love the way these feel and perform so to speak on the lips.
I've read reviews on this lipstick before I purchased it and most enjoy fit but regardless of that the majority thought that for a short longevity product that it wasn't worth the price tag. I think it's about reading the 'features' of the lipstick and determining if you won anything similar to avoid such disappointment. If you don't have anything like this in your collection, you'll defiantly enjoy it. If you own lipsticks that lack a certain feature these have then it might make it a more justifiable purchase to you.
In saying that, in my collection, Maybelline Color Whisper has a very similar formula but not the same pigmentation. YSL Rouge Volupte Shines are extremely similar in formula and pigmentation but more expensive. Revlon Colorburst Lip Lacquers don't quite have the same pigmentation but last longer. So this lipstick fills a narrow gap in my collection and I'm extremely happy with the way they perform, so much so that I am looking at picking up some more shades.
