Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner

Image
Packaging: Pencil with clear plastic lid and silver writing. The outer pencil is tinted the same colour as the liner which in this case is beige. Smell: None. Colour : 005 Nude - beige with warm undertones. Medium coverage with a matte finish. Available in 15 shades. It almost looks like it has an orange tint. A beige liner is less stark and more natural looking compared to white in the waterline. Formula/ Texture: This is a creamy and thick formula. It's smudge resistant and long wearing of 8 hrs. It glides on easy and easy to sharpen. It is easily removed with makeup wipes though. The impressive thing about this liner is that it is waterproof and sits on the waterline, not budging until you remove it. There is a little transfer in the waterline and doesn't smudge from here. I honestly think it's a great pencil for the waterline. Available: From Priceline, pharmacies and discount department stores for $10 for 1.2g/ 0.042oz.

Rimmel Glam' Eyes Mono Eye Shadow

Image
Packaging: Black plastic shiny compact with a clear lid window to see the colour of the eyeshadow. Each of these eyeshadows come with a single ended sponge tip applicator. Smell: None. Colour: 100 Glam Ice - shimmer silver, icy white. Sheer pigmentation with shimmer finish. 030 Smokey Quartz - gold shimmer medium brown with slight purple/cool undertones. Opaque pigmentation with a satin finish. Available in 15-25 shades depending on the location of where Rimmel is stocked. Top - white Glam Ice Bottom - Smokey Quartz Texture/ Formula: It's a soft and silky shadow. They wear for 6 hours and will crease without a primer. The colour is buildable to the intensity desired. There is some fallout if too much powder applied to lid without tapping excess off before applying. These shadows are okay, nothing fantastic. If your after an affordable shadow that has good pigmentation for a...

Rimmel Sexy Curves Full Volume & Curve Mascara

Image
Packaging: Purple shiny bullet like tube. The shape of the tube if you can pick it up in the pic above left is similar to a woman's figure with the waist being where the handles meets the tube and the little budge after that the hips. That was probably me seeing that and matching it to the name of the mascara 'curves'. The wand is a triple plump brush to curl out, separate and load the lashes. The stopper I feel has a small opening and prevents the right amount of mascara from being on the wand. The brush is flexible which is something that I haven't seen and contains plastic bristles. Smell: Nope. Colour: 001 Black. Opaque pigmentation. Available in 3 shades including waterproof.  Texture/ Formula: This is such a dry formula. It was very difficult to remove with specific makeup remover. So I was excited about this mascara as it had volume in the name and that always gets my...

Rimmel Stay Glossy Lipgloss

Image
Packaging: The tube is clear with a metal handle on the wand. The felt tip applicator is different to the standard doe foot shaped. It is spatula shaped, flat sides, thin and when turned on the side it tapers to a thiner tip. Having the applicator this way I felt more distributed the lipgloss more evenly and sheer as there is less surface area. I could go back into the tube and get more product to build up the opaqueness. Smell: Kinda like wax. Colour: #160 Stay My Rose - darkish pink with sliver flecks of shimmer. Sheer pigmentation with a gloss finish. Defiantly not the colour you see in the tube it's a lighter version of that. Available in 9 shades. Texture/ Formula: This lipgloss felt smooth between my lips, wasn't sticky or tacky, felt thin, things that I feel make a good lipgloss. Being labelled 'stay glossy' I assumed that this gloss was shiny as and that would last a while which I fel...

Rimmel Exaggerate Automatic Waterproof Eye Definer

Image
Packaging: Twist up eyeliner with a cap. At the other end is a sponge tip for smudging, with a clear plastic cap for protection. This sponge tip is tiny and is also removable to reveal a bladeless sharper that helps give the eyeliner a finer point. I think this bladeless sharper is pretty cool and is worth getting if you prefer automatic pencils to standard pencils as you can always maintain a fine tip. Smell: Nil. Colour: 250 Emerald Sparkle - bluey/green colour that leans more green with silver sparkle. Medium pigmentation  with a glitter finish. I'm not a fan of having glitter in my eyeliner, I prefer if it was a solid colour so the sparkle didn't really impress me. Available in 8 shades. Texture/ Formula: It's a creamish, chunky formula. It glides on smoothly but a single swipe left a couple of areas of spareness and is waterproof and is a lil pain to get off as some remaining glitter...

Rimmel Colour Rush Mono Eye Shadow Metallic #104 VIP

Image
Packaging: Square shaped single eyeshadow with bottom corners flared out. Black bottom plastic packaging with a clear lid. The eyeshaodw has Rimmel's crown logo embossed into the shadow. Smell: None. Colour: 104 VIP - light brown with cool undertones with gold glitter flecks. Sheer pigmentation with a glitter finish.                               Texture/ Formula: Very velvety shadow. BUT HAS HEAPS OF FALL OUT!! Glitter seems to get travel around the eyes and onto the cheeks. It's a nice colour, with lots of glitter but this glitter seems to go everywhere!! Extremely painful and not even eye primer seems to help. Maybe thats why it's no longer available. This range of single eyeshadows are discontinued from Rimmel's product line and I can see why! Available: No longer available but was $6 for 2.4g. ...

Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation

Image
I was after a foundation that would be travel friendly in terms of packaging, long-wearing and oil-free. High bench mark hey? In a 3 for 2 special I thought it'll be no better opportunity to test this foundation out considering I've never tried any face products form Rimmel before. Packaging: Soft matte squeeze tube with the bottom portion of the tube showing the colour of the foundation which also helps to indicate how much product is left. The shiny beige lid is screw off with a portion control dispenser with a tiny opening that helps to control how much product you want. Very durable packaging especially for travelling. Smell: Only on the back of my hand can I smell something that resembles a slight light sunscreen smell. Colour: 100 Ivory. Medium coverage with a matte finish. This is the lightest shade from the selection I had to choose from and I'm by no means a pale skinned person. This is one of the negative things about this foundation-the c...
