John Frieda Volume Dry Shampoo

Image
Packaging: Smooth baby blue metal can with a clear cap. The nozzle hasn't clogged on me but sprays a narrow but fine mist. Smell: Citrus. Colour: Clear. Formula/ Texture: I do feel as though this spray is wet when it hits the hair so I do leave it to 'set' or dry for a minute before rubbing it in. It's easy to apply from the can, not needing to adjust to it, holding it out the natural arms width away. It does an awesome job at a dry shampoo. From a little grease to an oil slick, this dry shampoo fixes it all. Use it on second day hair and I've found the same refreshed and mattify look to last through all throughout third day hair!! I'm seriously impressed. As the product name suggests, it actually does gives your hair volume. Not massive blowout look but a noticeable difference. It's great to add texture for up dos. The hair doesn't feel gritty like the Tigi Rockaholic Dry Shampoo which is due to the fine mist. I do f...

John Frieda Full Repair Full Body Shampoo & Conditioner

Image
Packaging: Both come in red squeeze tubes with clear lids. On  the back of the tubes they have labelled the corrosponding 'shampoo' or 'conditioner' as shown in the pic above. I think this is genius seeing s they both look the same and when your in the shower you don't want to spend ages fumbling around trying to figure out with tube is the one you want but having them backwards and the big clear writing helps to easily grab the tube you want. Smell: Flowery/ floral. Colour: Shampoo: Pearl white Conditioner: White Texture/ Formula: Shampoo & conditioner felt no different to the normal formula of other brands. These are enriched with inca inchi oil (omega 3) which when it penetrates dry damaged hair, it repairs the look and feel of it. So this line repairs damaged dry hair due to frequent heat styling and colouring, detangles hair and adds body for full, flo...

John Frieda Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Thermal

Image
Packaging: Palm sized plastic orange tinted bottle that is pretty slim and tiny. The top is a large pump dispenser that when twisted opens and closes, which means it can be perfect for travel. Smell: Fresh and fruity. Colour: Clear. Texture/ Formula: Runny consistency but thicker than water and a tad sticky. It's lightweight and easily absorbed and applied to the hair. My hair length is mid chest and for that length I need more than a pee sized amount to do my whole hair concentrating the thermal serum mid length to ends than the remainder on the top of my head as to not weigh my hair down. It did protect against thermal products very well. I didn't notice any difference for UV exposure or against colour fading. My hair did feel more smoother and softer than when I use the thermal spray protectant by Tresemme but I didn't notice it being shinier. I enjoyed this, though I do feel...

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating for Darker Shades Shampoo & Conditioner

Image
Packaging: Both come in squeeze tubes with bottom caps. The shampoo has a glitter tinted plastic bottle which is good as you can see how much product is left. The conditioner tube tinted in a shiny opaque gold. Smell: Citrus, green & fresh with floral undertones. Colour: Shampoo is a light yellow colour while the conditioner is white. Texture/Formula: The shampoo is a runny gel like consistency while the conditioner is thicker and more of a cream consistency. This highlight activating range is supposed to highlight the blonde colour already in the hair without depositing any colour. The formula has honey and oatmeal extracts that help with the max blonde impact. Also according to the John Frieda website "gently removes dulling build-up & residues that make blonde look dull & dark". Well I can say using this shampoo & conditioner did enhance my blonde tips in my hair that is still growing out from when I had been a dyed blonde 2 ye...

John Frieda Frizz-Ease Creme Serum Overnight Repair Formula

I noticed that my hair had split ends, not matter how often I looked at them and trimmed them. This scared me that even though I wasn't using any heat on my hair it was still splitting and this got me worried. I saw that this would be absolutely perfect for my problem, something that could hydrate my ends whilst I sleep so I don't have to wait to wash it out .   Packaging: An oval shaped, dark blue plastic bottle, with a clear lid. The outside has a smooth shiny finish to it. It fits comfortably in the hand. The dispenser is also a clear pump dispenser which doesn't have a strong squirt so it's easy to control the amount of product. Smell: Moonflower/ Orchids. Heavenly in other words. Colour: White. Texture/Formula: It's a gel consistency, that is smooth, lightweight and absorbs easily into the hair.  It doesn't make my roots any more greasy or look greasy. There's no film left on my pillow either. I don't...
