Tresemme Instant Refresh Cleansing Dry Shampoo

Image
Packaging: This is a short and stubby black shiny can. There are elements of orange and yellow reflected on the front of the can with correspond to the tinted yellow large cap. This has a wide and fine spray. I haven't had the nozzle clog. Smell: Citrus signature Tresemme scent.  Colour: None. Formula/ Texture: This is easily applied from the can. I don't find it to create to white of a patch of dry shampoo, so rubbing this in with either hands or a brush requires little effort and can be done quickly. It's not sticky or leaves any residue. For best results you do have to shake the can well and spray 25cm away onto the roots. This didn't do much for me. I tired the original formula and was disappointment then too. I found I had to spray more/for longer to get my desired result, compared to other brands I've tried. Judging from the size of the can I feel like Im getting less product compared to the other brands and it didn't ...

Tresemme Freeze Hold Hairspray

Image
Packaging: Metal can with a tinted clear black cap. It is large in terms of height and circumference and because of this I find it a little difficult to store. The nozzle is a push down spray, which can get clogged if the can is held up and sprayed on top of the nozzle rather than straight out. However the nozzle does spray evenly and lightly. Smell: Like all Tresemme products, nice flowerly with a slight hint of alcohol. Colour: Clear liquid, no tint to it. Texture/ Formula: Not sticky, fast drying on hair, not stiff on the hair unless spray really extreme up close to the hair nor does the hairspray feel as though it's building up. A good thing about this formula is that the hairspray is gone when the hair is brushed. It doesn't leave any white flakes. The hold lasts a long time as it has gribbing polymers. It will wash out including getting soaked. It has a 24hr climate control including hum...

Tresemme 24 Hour Body Root Boosting Spray

Image
Packaging: Plastic bottle with pink push spray nozzle. The nozzle is concentrated so the product targets specific area on the head & not a larger area where the product isn't wanted. It comes with a plastic cap that fits over the nozzle preventing any accidental spray or wastage. The bottle is shaped in a way that can be identified with the outline of a body, which would tie in with the 'body' wording in the product name. Smell: Citrus, fruity/ flowery. Which is unimous across all Tresemme products. Colour: Clear liquid. Texture/ Formula: Spray that is concentrated and not very wide which is good for getting right in at the roots. The liquid isn't sticky at all unlike their curl control spray and contains a volume control complex which helps in obtaining volume. It's a light formula and doesn't seem to weigh my hair down. Tresemme claim that this lasts all day and night, hence the '24hr' wo...

Tresemme Smoothing Creme

Image
I wanted to try a smoothing product for my hair. Something that would add shine. I was near the shelf where all the Tresemme products were and saw this and thought it'll be a great product to try, because lets face it who doesn't love Tresemme? :-) Packaging: It comes in a small palm sized white plastic bottle and a black press top lid. Smell: OH MY GODNESS!! This stuff smells so delish and yummy. I can't quite accurately describe it but it smells like a heavenily light scent. Nothing strong of floral but im thinking more along the lines of a lily/frangipani flower smell. If you smell it you'll know what I mean. Colour: White. Texture/Formula: It's a light smooth, creme consistency. It absorbs quickly into the hair. This smoothing creme works best when small amounts, say walnut sized are used rather than a big glob. If too much is applied than the hair can feel overly smooth and oily. On damp towel dried hair, rub a walnut sized ...

Tresemme Heat Defence Styling Spray & Curl Activator Spray

Image
Packaging: The heat defence styling spray has a trigger handle, where as the curling activator spray has a more targeted nozzle but is in a push down spray. Both come in a black bottle. Smell: Citrus. Texture/Formula The Heat Defence Styling Spray can be used for every type of heat appliance-blow dryer, straightener, crimper, curler-and I find that it's a really good product. Distrubtes the product evenly, the mist is nice and fine, the way my hair is left nice and soft and smooth. Defiantly repurchasing this again. The Curl Activator is a little sticky in the texture and the mist thicker. When I spray it the product doesn't squirt far and some droplets end up falling down the bottle. Honestly this dissapoints me. It lets down the percevied effectiveness of Tresemme's products. Curling wise however I've noticed that the curls last longer in my hair, so they don't fall out as quick. Not sure this is a good product purely of the spray. Avai...

Tresemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo for Oily/Straight to Normal Hair

Image
Packaging: Sleek, tall, shiny black casing with a yellow-greenish cap that complements the writing on the bottle. The spray nozzle is also black. Smell: Citrus. Colour: Goes on white but dissapears when brushed out. Texture/Formula: The dry shampoo is like a hairspray mist. When the dry shampoo is brushed out, the hair can feel a little gritty but still look freshly washed. This is the first dry shampoo that I've encountered where its best to brush the hair to get rid of the dry shampoo as opposed to using your fingers and scruff the hair.  Honestly this doesn't work for me. It still leaves my hair looking oily. I've tried brushing, using my fingers, waiting the recommended 2 minutes, not waiting, holding the can close and far from head, all to no avail. It just doesn't seem to work for me no matter how I use it. I really want to love it Im just hoping that I've got a defect can and that another can will work wonders for me. Availa...
