Real Techniques Your Pick Berlin Brush Set

Image
Packaging: 5 brushes housed in a plastic box. The flat base on each brush enables it to stand on it's own. The handle & ferule is a plastic black and white abstract paint splatter print. This is offset but the soft, matte feel purple end. This print is actually the map of the city of Berlin! A voted design by Real Techniques fans! The duo fibre bristles are soft and fluffy that can be used for liquid or power application. I've used mine only for powder at this time and they perform so very well and sit nicely in the hand! No issues with cleaning or shedding with these. Buffing Brush Slightly flared bristles with a rectangle shape. I do antiquate this to flare out with use. Contour Brush Slight flare rounded shape. Stippling Brush Typical duo fibre brush with sparse, flared bristles. Deluxe Crease Brush Short, densely packed round domed shape. Base Shadow Brush Short, thin, domed bristle shape with the thinnest handle barrel. Availa...

Real Techniques 6 Miracle Sponges

Image
Packaging: Thick & large clear plastic box with sponge details on the backside. These sponges are latex free and are suggested to be replaced every 1-3 months. Formula/ Texture: These sponges are so very soft and bouncy. They are best used wet with powder, creams and liquids. Ringed under water, they do expand quite big. I've have no issues washing or drying them as they return to their original shape easily with do dye leaking. At this point I've had no breaking off of the sponge either which is nice. The sponges included are; Miracle Complexion Sponge This is a palm sized oval sponge. One end is pointed for precise application and blending and a flat, angled end for larger areas. Use: precise application & blending of small & large areas. Easy to hold and bounces well onto the face. You can feel slight density in the sponge. Miracle Mini Eraser Sponge x3 *new* This is a small purple oval with one pointed end and a flat angle on the ot...

Real Techniques Cleaning Tray

Image
Packaging: Thick large clear plastic box with instructions on the backside and 2 sample satchels of their brush cleansing gel. The tray is silicon, pink with tall edges and a trap on the underside/back for your hand to slip through. Inside the tray features small different sized and shaped notches. It's very lightweight and flexible but durable material that's ergonomically designed to fit your hand. Smell/Taste: None. Colour: Pink. Doesn't affect the performance in any way. Formula/ Texture: This is so easy to use. You brush cleanser of choice can be applied to the tray or brush and you'll still get the same result. The different notches work well to shape the brush differently as it glides over them so they can be cleaned effectively. They're spaced enough apart that the brush hairs can go through/round them too. This is my first experience with any sort of brush cleaning tool. The box advertises that brushes are washed 55% more ef...

Formula/ Texture: These bristles are so very soft, pick up colour well and have no issues washing or drying them as they return to their original shape easily. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

Image
Packaging: Bulky plastic casing with a ridge for the sponge. This isn't reusable or can act as a storage method once the sponge has been used as it can't breathe. The sponge itself is a tear drop shaped with a portion of it cut off on a sharp angle. Smell: None. Colour: Orange that doesn't transfer to the face. Formula/ Texture: This is a very dense sponge. When squeezed in the hands it is from and takes longer to bounce back and regain it's shape. The shape of the sponge has different purposes. The flat edge contours round the eyes and nose. The rounded body blends large areas of the face. While the pointed tip precisely covers imperfections. I have found each of these elements to work for it's purpose I much prefer using the pointed tip to get right under the eye area. It can be used wet or dry. Either way I have found that this does soak up more foundation than if I was using my fingers for application. So be sure to add a tou...
