Packaging: Thin silver wooden pencil with a clear cap. the end of the pencil is white to reflect the clear colour/ shade of the liner. Smell/Taste: None. Colour: 10 Clear. Natural finish. Formula/ Texture: This is a drier, thicker wax. It feels lightweight on/around the lips and is easily removed with a basic makeup wipe. I haven't any irritations or extra dryness with this lip liner. When I apply this it does need to be worked more onto the lips as it's a thicker product. I work is small short strokes around the lips instead of gliding it around. This does flatten the sharp tip of the pencil  a lot faster.  I've also noticed it leaves a faint white mark behind. Nothing that isn't able to be hidden by a bold colour or noticed unless looking right up at the lips. I haven't sharpened this yet so I don't know how easy that is and if it does sharpen to a point. Packaging: Circular slim aqua plastic cap sleeve on a twist up tube. It's palm sized and very durable and portable. Smell/Taste:  None. Colour: Clear. Formula/ Texture: It's a thick and smooth balm. It's not sticky, greasy or extra drying. The formula has SPF 20 which will be good during the summer. It is for dry lips to help soothe and care. It has Vitamin E that helps to moisturise and hydrate the lips helping to nourish and repair them. I do find this effect to be long lasting too. Defiantly a good formula for very dry lips to quickly repair lips within a few days. Available: From Priceline, pharmacies and discount department stores for $6-7 for 4.8g.

Packaging: Thick shiny plastic tube with cap. Each shade has it's corresponding colour as the tube colour with a silver end. In this case it's a light mauve pink with silver text. The bottom of the tube winds the chubby pencil up/down. The end does come softly pointed but does wear down flatter. Smell: Peppermint which I don't particularly like as it reminds me a lot of the strong after dinner chocolate mints. I bring you this somewhat mid week post to bring you all exciting news - they are finally here!! I'm sure you've seen these lacquer and matte balm stains from American blogs and videos on YouTube. Unlike most products these are now being sold in Australia a month after seen in the US. These are a big hit overseas and will be the same here. The difference is that they come in both a shiny and matte finish, 10 similar shades in each finish. Revlon Australia's website has them on their website including the original balm stains as of at least last night.  You can head their to see pictures and the colours and the different formulas of each finish. Check your local Priceline, Chemist Warehouse and Terry White Chemist stores for these as they'll be hard to keep in stock!! Let me know the shades you're keen to try. I wanted to put together the top lip colours that I gravitate towards and why I would recommend them.  Everyone has one and these are mine. MAC colours are very pigmented with an opaque coverage and have a lovely vanilla scent. These are some of the first lipsticks I've purchased that I love an enjoy wearing to pretty much all occasions. I found them all the be universally flattering, meaning all tones of skin will be able to pull them off.  These would also be the shades for MAC starters. Creme de Nude may be the only one thats hard to make work but it depends on what blush you pair it with that will make the difference. Angel Is the gorgeous shade of pink you can slap on to add some soft colour to our face without feeling like it's over powering- it's a good alternative to a brown shade of lipstick. A matte pencil is easily distinguished by the type of colour pattern at the end of the pencil which is a solid block of colour that is the shade of the pencil. It's topped off with a rubberized sturdy cap. Smell: None. Colour/Taste: Never Say Never - pink lilac with cool undertones. Sex Machine - pink mauve with a very slight silver shimmer with cool undertones. Opaque pigmentation with a matte finish. Available in 19 shades. Formula/ Texture: It has a thick creamy texture that is dry. It is lightweight and comfortable on the lips. No filling into the lines on the lips either. It is vitamin E enriched so it's a tad moisturising. It is a little stiff to apply. The longevity last for 4 hours as the matte finish makes the colour act sort of similar to a stain where it lingers. It can be topped with a lipgloss if desired. The colour is defiantly buildable. The shine in this is unbelievable - it's shiny and gorgeous! Available in 10 shades. Formula/ Texture: It has a creamy, ultra buttery and smooth texture. It's lightweight and comfortable on the lips. No filling into the lines on the lips either. It is vitamin E enriched so its moisturising. It's easy to apply as it literally glides onto the lips. This is a block of colour that is the shade of the pencil a thin black strip and thin colour strip. It's topped off with a rubberized sturdy cap. Smell: None. Colour/Taste: Biscayne Pink - pink guava but I would describe it as more of a beige/ muted coral with warm undertones. Timanfaya - intense orange with a hint of red with cool undertones. Opaque pigmentation with a satin finish. This is the best aspect that I love about this finish. Available in 13 shades.     Formula/ Texture: It's a smooth and creamy texture It's lightweight and comfortable on the lips. It is vitamin enriched so I find it to be moisturising and easy to apply. Packaging: Slim square plastic tube with tinted sleeve as the lid. The twist up bullet is silver that matches the writing on the outside. The lipstick is round though. The tinted sleeve matches the colour of the lipstick. As a whole it feels less chunky and cheap like the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid. Smell: Slightly floral. Colour: #25 Lust For Blush - sheer mauve pink with cool undertones. Sheer pigmentation with a sheen finish. Packaging: Luxxe gold shiny box that matches the round tube with flat ends. Very detailed "YSL' around the middle of the tube. Behind this is the colour of the lipstick so you can correlate the middle colour to the bullet inside the tube. The shade info is at the bottom of the tube. Packaging: Shiny black square tube. The lid is separated from the bottom by a thick gold band that flows inside the tube. The top has a white engraved Chanel symbol with the shade name and number on the bottom. The actual lipstick product is rounded. The twist mechanism works smoothly with no problems. The tube itself does feel quite substantial too paired with the sleek packaging. Smell: None. Colour/Taste: #54 Boy - beige pink. Sheer pigmentation with a sheen finish.
