Make Up Forever Charli XCX Festival Faves 4 Waterproof Eyeliners

Image
Packaging: Pencil shape and size where the full length is coloured to represent the shade of the pencil. Both the end and the sturdy cap are a shiny black to protect the pencil from wear and tear and maintain a crisp look.  The wood is a die black and the pencil tip is standard. Smell/Taste: None. Colour: M-10 - Intense black. Matte finish. M-80 - Plum. Matte finish. I-24 - Ocean blue. Iridescent finish. M-30 - Mint, pastel green. Matte finish. Available in 20 shades. Formula/ Texture: These are a velvet smooth thin pencil. They glide onto the skin with very little tugging and pulling. They don't crease, fade or transfer either. A basic makeup wipe does remove them. These are made for the waterline. They honestly don't move and this is over a 12 hour period. Granted in the waterline they aren't are intense as initially applied during this time. This does hold up to one of the major product claims, the fact that they are to some degree wate...

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation

Image
Packaging: Smooth round tube with the bottom half a hard clear shiny plastic and the top half is a hard black shiny plastic with a pump. The pump isn't stiff, doesn't squirt the product a million meter away but works perfectly in dispensing the average amount per pump. Smell/Taste: None. Colour: 117 = Y225 - light beige with yellow undertones.  A satin finish with medium buildable coverage. NOW Available in 41 shades. This is more for those who are cool undertoned as the yellow counteracts this. I do feel as though this colour blends into my natural colour round my jawline and gives me that natural look. Formula/ Texture: This is a thin, runny and smooth consistency. It's very lightweight on the skin. Also it's easy to apply and blends easy and I think that's due to it's thinner texture so a brush, sponge or hands will work best to apply this foundation. It's easily removed with a basic makeup wipe. This doesn't emphas...

MUFE Step 1 Primers

Image
Packaging: Both are a matte squeeze tube with an opaque coloured bottle and short black lid. The nib is thin and a very small opening. The colour represents the result the formula is going to provide. The white for nourishing and the dark grey tube mattifying. There is no difference in packaging performance between the full and travel size. The plastic feels durable enough to withstand a beating and cane cut open to get all the remaining product out. Smell: None. Colour: White cream that blends out to nothing. Formula/ Texture: This is a thin and smooth cream. Its lightweight on the skin and is easy to apply, blend and absorb into the skin. I've had no irritations or breakouts with these which is awesome. The purpose of these primers is to assist in balancing the skin in preparation for makeup application. There is 5 texture and tone assist primers. Perfect range for a makeup artist to use on a variety of skin types. The range contains equalis...

Make Up For Ever HD Complexion Starter Kit

Image
I brought this starter kit as I was keen to try out these products and at the very most the HD foundation as I had heard good things being said about it. I thought that there would be no better way to see what I like and what may be a possible repurchase. I brought this kit online from the US site Sephora for $75 which is extremely good value considering the value of the products inside.  This starter kit contains 15ml/0.5 fl.oz. Primer (sample size), 30ml/1.fl.oz Foundation (full size) & 5g/ 0.17oz Powder (sample size). HD Microperfecting Primer Packaging: Soft matte frosted squeeze tube with matte black twist off lid and a small fine tip. Smell: None. Colour: Clear. Texture/ Formula: This primer is a runny, thin, smooth cream with a natural finish. It is easily applied by using your hands and is quickly ...

Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream - #2 Steel

Image
Packaging: It comes in this black little box with the shade number on the top. I am actually quite surprised at how large the pot is, I thought less would have been included. The cream shadow comes in a twist off clear bottom and a shiny black lid. The lid has the brand in white writing on it, while the base of the bottom half has shade information. It feels sturdy and good quality, as in I don't think that with normal usage and wear and tear that there will be any breakage in the plastic. Smell: Wax. Colour: #2 Steel - brown/sliver colour with multi dimensional shimmer and cool undertones. Opaque pigmentation with a shimmer finish. Available in 22 shades. It is the same shade that Ms Britney Spears used in her video clip "Hold It Against Me". It just looked like a neutral brown yet a little darker but still sultry. Yep I defiantly...

Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation

Image
Packaging: This comes in a matte finish squeeze tube with a shiny black screw off lid. The dispenser is a tiny concentrated nozzle that helps control the amount of product coming out of the tube. The numbering/ shade name is done through numbers. This shade reference is at the bottom of the tube (see above right picture). This is a little confusing if you have multiple shades of this foundation and just want to grab one and go and not have to look carefully for the correct shade that matches you at that specific time. It also can get confusing to re-order the same shade, if you toss the black box it came in which has the shade # on the top. But I guess you have to be careful. Smell: None. Colour: #30 Porcelain - light peach shade with more yellow undertones. Medium to full coverage with a matte finish. I got shade #40 by accident as I though that would match me but it was too dark. It hasn't gone to waste as I am ...
