Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream - #2 Steel

Packaging:
It comes in this black little box with the shade number on the top. I am actually quite surprised at how large the pot is, I thought less would have been included. The cream shadow comes in a twist off clear bottom and a shiny black lid.

The lid has the brand in white writing on it, while the base of the bottom half has shade information. It feels sturdy and good quality, as in I don't think that with normal usage and wear and tear that there will be any breakage in the plastic.

Smell:
Wax.

Colour:
#2 Steel - brown/sliver colour with multi dimensional shimmer and cool undertones. Opaque pigmentation with a shimmer finish. Available in 22 shades.
It is the same shade that Ms Britney Spears used in her video clip "Hold It Against Me". It just looked like a neutral brown yet a little darker but still sultry. Yep I defiantly got sucked into this product placement!!


Texture/ Formula:
The texture is smooth, silky and a bit thick. It can be felt on the eyes. It's quick and easy to apply using fingers or a synthetic brush, but blending does take a little practice. As it takes a while to set, you can't keep messing with the placement especially in the crease. I do have to remove this with a specific eye makeup remover. It is easily smudged. Those with oily eye lids will find some creasing and transferring especially if a thick layer is applied.

This is my first cream eyeshadow so I have no idea what to expect. This is very long lasting!! Worn alone on bare eyes it lasts 4hrs before the natural oils start to show through. I do recommend an eye primer which extends the wear even more to 8hrs. Still not long enough add a powder eyeshadow and your talking 12hrs+!! This longevity is incredible. Not a lot is needed either.

The formula has mother of pearl pigments which help provide a luminous but metallic finish. it does have a it of multi dimensional that it can be placed up into the crease and look like two different shades. When it is swatched it looks more of a silver colour but this colour can be changed by adding a brown or black powder eyeshadow over. The uniqueness & versatility of this colour isn't like anything I have seen.

If you want a super long wearing cream eyeshadow that's easy to apply and go, then this is out.

Packaging: Small clear tube with white screw lid with brush tip applicator. Smell: None. Colour: Ruby red colour. Light coverage/ sheer pigmentation with a natural finish. On the cheeks it is a lot more sheered out and is more pink looking. Texture/ Formula: This is a quite runny and thin. It absorbs and sinks into the skin quite quickly. So it must be applied onto one cheek at a time, blending it immediately. This is my first tint so I had a hard time adjusting to the application method as I ended up with blotches of tint that no powder could fix. A small amount goes a long way. I do use my fingers to apply this and the blending is easier then a brush. This does leave a slight stain on my fingertips. Benefit They're Real! Mascara

I got this sample size from The Champions of Bronze kit. Packaging: Shiny gunmetal wand handle with a gunmetal tube. The wand as long plastic bristles with a spiked ball at the end of it. This ball utilises the end of the mascara wand and reaches into the smaller lashes in the inner corner of the eye. Smell: Just the usual mascara smell. Colour: Black. Opaque pigmentation. Formula/ Texture: This is more of a wet mascara but with a really thin scraper that doesn't leave any clumps of mascara on the wand. It's a thinner wand which made applying it easy. I wasn't going through my lashes trying to separate my lashes and then add volume then back to separating a clump. Theres no flaking or transferring. It's is easily removed with makeup wipes.
