GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment Mask

Packaging:
Heavy, palm sized round, smooth metal jar with a plastic screw on lid with a metal embellishment. The jar has a white and silver/ grey colour scheme. The lid features a silver star to match the silver text. There is a product stopper that lifts out which can be either thrown away or kept. It feels considerably heavy compared to a moisturiser jar but the packaging is thick when you see how much product it holds. This could have something to do with keeping the natural ingredients/ acids fresh.

It comes in this octagon shaped white cardboard box matching the jar. The lid is a sleeve that lifts off, revealing the jar in a cradle from the cardboard, covered by a 'Hello Sexy' flap. I thought this was a unique way to present the jar and it was nice to have my sexiness reaffirmed!

Smell/Taste:
Faint liquorice that is quite powerful.

Colour:
Dark grey and dries white.

Formula/ Texture:
It's a thick and slightly smooth consistency. It's very easy to apply using your fingers. A little bit of this treatment is needed and a thin layer is very sufficient which helps justify the price.

It's really cool and intriguing to see the clay dry from a deep grey to a white colour. Depending on the thickness does depend on how long it takes to dry which can be anywhere from 5-20 minutes but I leave the mask on for 20 minutes even if it's already turned white. Glamglow do recommend to use this as often as needed.

It does a little rub into the skin with water to remove but the roughness or grittiness of some of the dry mask act as an exfoliant which is an added bonus. I have combination skin and this mask hasn't broken me out but I was kinda of expecting it to and I don't know why. It hasn't over dried out my skin or caused it to feel super tight.

It contains so many good and beneficial skin ingredients. It's the first mask of it's kind to contain a blend of 6 acid AHA & BHA. The ingredients are found in naturally occurring plants which are called Bio-life-cell-science. So without further ado here are the ingredients;

Acneidic 6th - 6 Acid AHA & BHA Blend   [PH Balances the skin]

  1. Glycolic    [Helps improve skin texture]
  2. Salicylic    [Helps declog to minimise pores]
  3. Latic         [Helps pigmentation & skin collagen]
  4. Mandelic  [Helps ageing skin & skin elasticity]
  5. Pyruvic     [Helps effects of scarring]
  6. Azelaic     [Helps fight breakouts]
Teaoxi - Eucalyptol, Linalool oil & Flavonoids
Activated X - Vacuum Carbon     [Extraction]
K-17 Clay - Extreme Toxin Encapsulation
Licorice Root       [Helps regulate problem skin]
Peppermint Plant  [Helps irritations]
Eucalyptus Leaf   [Helps complications]

Let me say how amazing this product is. The combination of these ingredients such awakens the skin and makes it glow and look very beautiful! I know that sounds odd to say but I truly believe that if you treat your skin with a high level of care, it'll show. You'll need less makeup too, well lets face it you only have one of it.

All the benefits from the ingredients I have seen in my skin. Now I don't see them immediately such as improvement of skin texture but definitely the next few days I notice them all. What I initially love is they visibly declogged and minimised pores because it lets me know the make has done it's so good of  a job that I can't even see my most visible pores around my nose!

This little jar does live up to it's hype. The wonders it does for you skin and from naturally occurring ingredients is amazing which doesn't quite translate into words. I am being truthfully honest in saying you won't regret this purchase.

Expensive, yes but really worth it especially when you can use it as a spot treatment as well as a mask. GlamGlow also have a face hydrating and exfoliating and an eye mask to better suit skins needs. If I had to sum it up, I'd say that GlamGlow does for skin what the Beauty Blender did for makeup tools.
