Ulta Haul | January - First Drugstore for the year!

Image
Well it was done again. A drugstore beauty haul! It's one of those  situations  where you go  particularly   for   one  item and leave with a whole bunch of other stuff. Expect in my case it was clicking online and adding things to my cart! Nothing like new makeup to play with! ;) Urban Decay Setting Spray Duo $40 I needed a refill/ restock of this from the travel size I got in  America. I remember with all the Christmas sets and gift packs that UD had this full sized duo at Ulta.  One is $30 and the duo was $40. I thought it was risky to but two  full sized products but I figured for how much I  absolutely  love the travel sized spray, it'll be worth my money. Maybelline Colorsensational Rebel Bloom Lipsticks $9ea These are some of the newest lip colours for the new season. While our seasons are opposite to America and these are intended for Spring they'll still work amazing for our Summer! They appear to be...

Sephora Haul | Jan 2015

Image
Argh it's that time of the year! New year - new makeup. I missed out on the VIB sale back in November due to their website failure which I wasn't happy about. There was things I wanted/ needed as soon as I could to replace the low items I have currently. Make Up Forever HD Primer $16 I tried this back in July of 2012 as part of the complexion starter kit. It came with a travel sized primer, loose powder and full sized HD foundation. It was when I was on my 'ultimate foundation' kick. I am in love with the foundation, the looser powder was okay and gave me a white cast at times. The primer is that I didn't have a strong opinion for either way. I am excited to start using it again and put it through rough conditions. I did love how this wasn't a silicone formula and more of a moisturising primer. Lit Cosmetics  Summer Sparkle Kit $20 This is a new product for me. I have never ever owned a glitter, pressed or loose before. I am extremely e...

Sephora, Macy's, H&M & Victoria's Secret Haul | USA '14

Image
In my previous posts I have mentioned that throughout June I was travelling throughout America. I'm on the final leg home now and while I was there, there was a few shops I wanted to stop out. The high end makeup and clothes shops of Sephora, Macys, H&M and Victoria Secret were the ones. They are the US equlivent of department stores here, expect they stock a larger range and variety of brands, at literally half the price of the same product here. Like with the Ulta stuff, I could have gone crazy and picked up so much more then what's here, you know products I'm interested in and wouldn't mind seeing how it works for me, but I decided to be reasonable. I did spend considerable amount of months researching each product, it's ingredients and reviews to see if it would suit me. No point going halfway across the world to spend this kind of money and it not work for me. There a few products I didn't make the cut from this. It does feel good to have a clean...

Ulta & CVS Haul | USA '14

Image
In my previous posts I have mentioned that throughout June I was travelling throughout America. I'm on the final leg home now and while I was there, there was a few shops I wanted to stop out. The drugstore shops of Ulta and CVS were one of them. They are the US equlievent of Priceline here, expect they stock a larger range and variety of brands, at literally half the price of the same product here. Honestly I could have gone crazy and picked up so much more then what's here, you know products I'm interested in and wouldn't mind seeing how it works for me, but I decided to be reasonable. Without further ado here's what I picked up (L-R, T-B); Gillette Venus Snap with Embrace $13 I needed a shaver and I saw this portable shaver compact from Venus. The razor head is the same 5 blade that I'm used to but I loved the size and convenience of razor handle and compact. Easy to store and clean. Evian Mineral Water Facial Spray $12 It's qu...

Beauty & Fashion Haul - April 2014

Image
Okay so honestly I'm a little worried at how much stuff I've brought just over the last month... I think I need to go on a no buy in May, especially with my USA trip approaching very shortly! Still I wanted to let you know about the bargains, I picked up cause I'm sure I won't be as lucky in the future. Skindinvaia Setting Sprays $50 Like I mentioned I'm heading to America early June and not only that my original bottle of the Bridal Setting Spray was running low, I hopped on the chance to get another one. Ordering from the US site, not only is cheaper including shipping compared to the Australian site, it ships here and comes with bonus sample sized sprays. Great as it's perfect for travel! The original setting spray was the other formula I had heard rave reviews about in conjunction with the Bridal finish. I always wanted to try it but couldn't shift off the Bridal finish. There was no promo code to enter or anything like that, so getting ...

Addicted To Lipbalm Haul 30 Aug 2011

After hearing raves about the EOS lip balm spheres & the Sara Happ, I decided to take the punt and order them all in one hit- of course I won't be using them all at once.

Priceline Haul - May 2011

Revlon Superlustrous Lipgloss in Pink Pop & Peach Petal & Grow Luscious Mascara If you spent $20 or more in one transaction you were able to a free Revlon Mascara up to $34 so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try Revlon's lipgloss and one of their new mascaras. The lipgloss was $21. Swippers Wipes Beauty Box For $8 you got 2x 25 face wipes all in a sturdy beauty box to store them in. Not good value no? L'Oreal Kontour Khol Eyeliner in Pure White & Blue Denim It was buy one eye product and get one free, so while my white pencil for my waterline was running low I picked up another one and decided to expand my collection and get a navy blue as a fun alternative to black. They are $15. Physcian's Formula Powder Palette Glow Minerals I wanted a highlighter product and I saw this. It was $30. Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation, Mono Eyeshadow's & bonus pack Im going to Bali soon and needed a foundation that was travel friendly. I ...

Collective Priceline Haul - April 2011

This is lil bits and pieces that I picked up throughout all of April combined in this massive collective haul. Please, enjoy :) Gariner Anti-Dark Roll-on Concealer Light-Medium The previous Anti-dark I brought was a shade waaaay to dark for me seeing as we're coming into winter and looked a tad on the orange side. From Target it was on sale for $13.26. Schick Quattro For Women New product on the market in hair removal and judged that it'll require not alot of expertise and may make hair removal quicker. From Target it was on sale for $11.24. Covergirl LashFusion Mascara Covergirl was 50% off at Target celebrating Covergirls 50 years of operation. So what a better opportunity to grab a backup of my fav mascara? :) It was $9.47. Scholl Part Feet Gel Sore Spot From Target at 10% off, needed these little sore spots for my little toes what always hurt and cause me pain on a night out. They were $7.49. Maybelline Eyestudio Stylish Smokes Quad in Nat...

Skin & Nails Haul - July 2011

Image
Revlon Manicare Set This was $5 from Chemist Warehouse. It contains a set of nail clippers, emery metal file, cuticle pusher & trimmer and a nail buffer all housed in a red with white swirl case. I needed some good quality nail tools and I saw this bargain and new it was too good to pass up. Maybelline Sensation Lipliner #25 Toast I wanted a nude/natural coloured lip liner that would go with my various shades of lipstick that are in the nude family category. I have never tried a lip liner before as I believe that they are not really necessary and give an un-natural look but are necessary only for red lipstick. Which I plan to be wearing that Saturday at a Disney themed 21st and I'll be Snow White. From Chemist Warehouse it was on special for $11. YSL Touche Eclat #1 It was $35 from Chemist Warehouse. I've seen it there before and I didn't pick one up. I've been dying (not literally) to try one of these beautys' out as they are one of the m...

Priceline Haul #2 - March 2011

John Freida Frizz Ease UV Hair Serum I saw this serum at Priceline before and now that it was on sale I thought I'd give it a try and see how it compares to my beloved Tresemme heat defense spray. It was on sale for $12.69. Revlon Colorstay Blemish Concealer in Light/Medium I needed a new blemish concealer and not only is it oil-free but it was apart of a deal which is explained at the bottom of this post. It was $26.95. Revlon Colorstay Brow Liner in Blonde Again Revlon was apart of a deal and I needed a new brow pencil. And I pretty much wanted it for the spoolie at the end. This was $21.95. Neutrogena Night Cream Cleanser I am trying to find an inexpensive way to take off my makeup. So far I use wipes and thought this cream cleanser wouldn't hurt trying, especially as they had 20% off. It was on sale for $9.59. Neutrogena Rapid Clear Fight & Fade Clearing Gel  I have acne scars and I wanted to see if this was all it was claimed up to be ie. fade spots....

Priceline Haul - March 2011

Scunci Split Headband This is from Target and it was on sale for $7.50 and I really enjoying this headband, the only one that I can wear all day and not have a headache. My other one broke so I needed a new one. At the bottom of the band there is little plastic, flexible teeth that help grip the headband to your head. The cushion feet at the ends of the headband help with the all-day wear comfort factor. I also like how the band splits into two and is a tad stylish whilst being practical. Face of Australia Primer I think it's about time I got onto the primer wagon. I had brought the Neutrogena light moisturiser for the same purpose but I feel as though it wasn't really doing a good job it that respect and this was the next cheapest alternative to the major expensive designer branded primers. Like the rest of these items, this was from Priceline at $12. Gariner Pure 3in1 Wash, Scrub & Mask It was buy 2 and get the 3rd item free on all Gariner products, so I t...

Priceline Haul - February 2011

Just a few things that I wanted for so long and they were on sale!! Australis  Makeup Finishing Spritz I wanted this to set my makeup. To see if it does make a difference. $15 on sale for $11.46 Manicare Crystal Nail File Arghh Im so sick of those normal emery boards as they loose their harshness very quickly for me and then my nails don't get a good file after a few months. Anyway I thought a nail file like this one which never looses its grainy texture on the nails. $16 on sale for $13.16. Neutrogena Healthy Defense Moisturiser with SPF 30 I needed a new moisturiser and Neutrogena works well for me. I want to be anti-aging and future focused and I know that applying sunscreen daily not only helps prevent wrinkles but also helps lower the risk of sunburn and cancer. I feel that normal sunscreen is too thick, smelly and sticky for me and that this moisturiser would be a good way of combining the two so that it's one less step but it doesn't become...
