Ulta & CVS Haul | USA '14

In my previous posts I have mentioned that throughout June I was travelling throughout America. I'm on the final leg home now and while I was there, there was a few shops I wanted to stop out. The drugstore shops of Ulta and CVS were one of them.

They are the US equlievent of Priceline here, expect they stock a larger range and variety of brands, at literally half the price of the same product here. Honestly I could have gone crazy and picked up so much more then what's here, you know products I'm interested in and wouldn't mind seeing how it works for me, but I decided to be reasonable.

Without further ado here's what I picked up (L-R, T-B);

Gillette Venus Snap with Embrace $13
I needed a shaver and I saw this portable shaver compact from Venus. The razor head is the same 5 blade that I'm used to but I loved the size and convenience of razor handle and compact. Easy to store and clean.

Evian Mineral Water Facial Spray $12
It's quite hot here so I wanted something quick, easy and soothing to give me a refresher and some relief throughout the day. I like how this uses natural mineral water to help hydrate the skin.

Milani Anti-Feathering Lip Liner $5 (CVS)
I am on the hunt for the best clear lip liner. This one is affordable and on my list.

L'Oreal Liner Intense Brush Tip Carbon Black Liquid Eyeliner $9
I've heard rave reviews about the intense pigmentation of this eyeliner along with the ease of application. I've tried the generic Liner Intense that is also available in Australia but at a $27 cost, it becomes too expensive. I really do hope this is a great liquid eyeliner.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Concealer $9
This is a repurchase for me. The one I took over with me is coming to a finish and while the price is very affordable it's a great opportunity to grab one.

Too Faced Anti-Feathering Lip Liner $18
Another brand to add to my test collection. One of the more expensive brands so I'm interested to see how it performs.

Lancome Artliner #Very Black $24 (LA Citadel Outlet)
So this isn't to do with the drugstore but still a bargain I picked up in the outlet mall of LA. It was the first beauty product I purchased and it's cheaper then the cost of the L'Oreal Liner Intense mentioned before and much cheaper then the cost in Australia. To me that justified picking it up to replenish my liquid eyeliner stash.

Band-Aid Friction Block Stick $9 (CVS)
I have heard of this little gem a bit over the last few years and it's something Band Aid won't bring to Australia. Trust me I've emailed them. It's a great item, using non greasy wax like material to great a friction barrier when breaking in new shoes. So there is no rubbing when this is worn on between shoes and feet.

I immediately though of the first few painful days of breaking in new shoes and the end of big night pain when going clubbing. I have tried this a few times and can say this product needs to be in every girls beauty bag. It's literally a life saver.

Maybelline Sensation Vivid #Vibrant Mandrain $7.50
I was feeling bold and decided that I needed a more coral/red toned lipstick. This is perfect and I had been eyeing it off back home. Again for half the Australian price, it was a whim purchase I could live with and happy I did! I got so many compliments every time I wore it.

Maybelline ColorSensation Lip Liner #Clear $7
Another affordable brand to add to my lipliner hunt.

Clarisonic Sensitive Brush Replacement Head $27
I needed a new brush head for my Clarisonic but as they are $35+ in Australia, it's never the first thing I have money to buy. There was a 4 pack of heads for $75 but none were in stock when I was there. A bit of a bummer but again the price is so darn good here!

Paul Mitchell Hot Off The Press $16
A recent product that I have heard is not only a thermal protectant but also hold curls all day long. It sounds like a product that would help my problems. It was the last can left on a display, so I'm lucky to have seen it. *not shown *

Neutrogena Deep Cleaning Makeup Cleansing Wipes $8
These are the only wipes by Neutrogena that are oil free and not available in Australia!! Really what gives! I have tried the basic wipes and while they were ok, they left some product on my face that I wasn't too keen on seeing as the formula wasn't oil free. I am super excited to test these out. I am hoping they are as wet as the other wipes. *not shown*

Sally Hansen Salon Airbrush Legs Leg Makeup $12
This was brought out of necessary. Parts of my body were a little tanned with the remaining exposed skin pale. This is an effort to even things up disregarding that this is branded for just the legs. *not shown*

As I mentioned before, I could have easily brought products, from hair to skin and make up but I had to think of the other shops I wanted to go to and leave room in my suitcase. What Ulta picks do you recommend?
