Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate

Image
Packaging: Short clear plastic squeeze tube with a flip top lid. Simple white text and Clinique C logo on the front. The opening is decently sized at 5mm. Smell: Fresh. Colour: Baby pink in high density but rubs in clear. Formula/ Texture: This is a smooth gel consistency that is lightweight on the skin. Glides on and sinks into the skin for a a long lasting hydrating, healthy glow. This also means the skin is plump and any fine lines may not be visible. There's no sticky, clammy or greasy feeling but the cooling effect is so refreshing. I really like this gel and really surprised by how effective it was. I like trying out new skincare but if I ever need to go back to a hydrating moisturiser, this would be the one I grab for. Available: From Myer & David Jones Stores, myer.com.au, Mecca Cosmetica, mecca.com.au for $ for g/oz.  Shown above is a travel size $24 15ml/0.5fl.oz. Or $69 for 50ml/ 1.7fl.oz.

Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlighter

Packaging: Thick chunky circular pastel pink mechanic retractable tube with a shiny silver end and cap. This matches the silver text on the tube. It has a wide soft domed bullet. I've not had any issues with the mechanics. Smell/Taste: Plastic, similar to kids makeup. Colour: #01 Hefty Highlighter - soft baby pink with silver micro glitter. Cool undertones with a shimmer finish. Available in 2 shades. Formula/ Texture: This is a thick and gritty texture. It catches on the skin during application, so it has to be applied with care and multiple layers. It is easily removed with a basic makeup wipe. It provides a subtle glow, but the width of the stick doesn't give a precise and desired highlight on the cheekbones. The subtleness doesn't necessarily mean it needs to be blended out unless too much product has been applied. Honestly, I don't reach for this. The bullets too wide for my liking and it doesn't have a long wear time, it f...

Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour Balm

Packaging: 5 cent width circular rose coloured opaque plastic tube with a silver band at the end and silver text. The length fits into the palm with the cap quite long but clear. The colour on the tube corresponds with the chosen shade inside. The automatic retractable mechanise work smoothly. The bullet has a wide and soft pointed tip.  That does give a more precise application but I wonder how effective it'll be once it's worn down and if it can be sharpened. This style of packaging reminds me of their concealer & highlight chubby sticks. The size of this makes it great for the purse and on the go. Smell/Taste: None. Colour: 07 Super Strawberry - deep pink beery. Sheer to medium pigmentation with satin finish. Buildable coverage. Available in 16 shades. Formula/ Texture: This is a thin, smooth and tacky balm. It glides on easily on the lips but a few passes is needed in order to get full pigmented coverage. There's no pulling, feat...
