Sephora Haul | Jan 2015

Argh it's that time of the year! New year - new makeup. I missed out on the VIB sale back in November due to their website failure which I wasn't happy about. There was things I wanted/ needed as soon as I could to replace the low items I have currently.

Make Up Forever HD Primer $16
I tried this back in July of 2012 as part of the complexion starter kit. It came with a travel sized primer, loose powder and full sized HD foundation. It was when I was on my 'ultimate foundation' kick. I am in love with the foundation, the looser powder was okay and gave me a white cast at times. The primer is that I didn't have a strong opinion for either way.

I am excited to start using it again and put it through rough conditions. I did love how this wasn't a silicone formula and more of a moisturising primer.

Lit Cosmetics  Summer Sparkle Kit $20
This is a new product for me. I have never ever owned a glitter, pressed or loose before. I am extremely excited to play with this! It's not a makeup necessity like foundation is but I'm excited to venture into that side of makeup.

Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Creme $14
This is another sample sized product. I have some acne scaring or hyper pigmentation that I want to address since my skin isn't oily and more combination type. I feel as though I can branch out and try different brands and formulas without my skin reacting like crazy.

It was searching for moisturisers with Vitamin C to help brighten this on Sephora's website that I found this product. I like the reviews and the product claims where quite clear and open about fading spots. It clams to do hydrate and brighten my skin whilst evening out skin tone so well see hoe this goes. It's not the cheapest and in case my skin did react I didn't want to waste money on something that was no use to me.

Beauty Blender Airport Pro + Benefit Kit $38
This was the reason I placed an order. I needed a new beauty blender but I wanted to get the airport pro. Admittedly I don't travel often but I want something that would be flexible in storing my sponges but yet still let them breather and air out to dry. I currently dry them on my window seal where dust and bugs can get to it. The less of these unwanted particles that can touch my beauty blender the more hygenic I feel it'll be and the less likely my skin will break out.

The sample size of the solid cleanser sold me on getting this as I've heard great results from cleaning the beauty blender. I have the liquid version which does do a really good job too. All that for $38 I considered a great bargain! The bonus for me was the two deluxe samples of the Benefit That Gal Primer and Girl Meets Pearl highlighter. Both I have tried before and both I have loved.

So tell me is there any Sephora recommendations you can suggest to me? I'm at the stage now in my makeup history where I feel as though I've tried the major brands and their cult products from every category. I have my personal go to favourites so from now on will be looking at lesser known brands and new releases.
