Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation

Packaging:
This comes in a matte finish squeeze tube with a shiny black screw off lid. The dispenser is a tiny concentrated nozzle that helps control the amount of product coming out of the tube.

The numbering/ shade name is done through numbers. This shade reference is at the bottom of the tube (see above right picture). This is a little confusing if you have multiple shades of this foundation and just want to grab one and go and not have to look carefully for the correct shade that matches you at that specific time.

It also can get confusing to re-order the same shade, if you toss the black box it came in which has the shade # on the top. But I guess you have to be careful.

Smell:
None.

Colour:
#30 Porcelain - light peach shade with more yellow undertones. Medium to full coverage with a matte finish.
I got shade #40 by accident as I though that would match me but it was too dark. It hasn't gone to waste as I am able to mix it in with my winter foundation for the summer time. Available in 16 shades.

Texture/ Formula:
This is a thin, smooth liquid. It is lightweight on the skin. It is easy to apply and blends seeminglessly using fingers or a brush. It is water resistant, oil-free, non-greasy and hasn't broken me out or caused any irritations. Theres no white cast with flash photography. It is easily removed with a basic makeup wipe.

It evens out skin tone leaving a mattifying but dimensional finish. The longevity is amazing!! For the thin consistency I am surprised it has such coverage and staying power. Using a primer, it lasts easily 12hrs on me. The formula is non-comedogenic and has amino acid coated pigments that help with stability & durability of the foundation. It's awesome at covering scars, blemishes and freckles too.

I don't feel like theres a need to set this with powder. If you're super oily especially but the  end of the day this will increase the longevity. I have combination skin and find that by the end of a long day there is a little bit of shine on my forehead.

This is great for when a long lasting, full coverage foundation is needed. My skin is able to breath much more easily then Revlon's Colorstay foundation. I would defiantly encourage everyone to give this a try.

Available:
Only from Sephora stores, sephora.com for US$38 for 30ml/1fl.oz.
