Maybelline Expert Wear Stylish Smokes Eyeshadow Quad

Packaging:

Clear plastic flip up lid. Each quad comes with two single ended sponge tip applicators. There is a application guide on the back of the quad with placement of the corresponding colours in the palette.

02 Natural Smokes - two warm undertoned shadows with a icy gold shimmer dark brown (lid) & a matte opaque dark chocolate brown with subtle gold shimmer (crease). The other two shades in the quad are cool undertones, one is a sheer matte beige (base) & a matte sheepish mud brown (liner).

04 Charcoal Smokes - all warm undertoned shadows. The first colour is a silver shimmer (brow bone), sheer brown with silver shimmer (lid), sheer purple brown with silver shimmer (crease) & sheer matte black with silver chunks.

Texture/ Formula:

These shadows are soft, silky, buildable in terms of colour intensity and crease resistant if a primer is used. These last a long time. They apply and blend well with a brush. I did experience some fall out. I noticed that I got a more sheerer application when I used makeup eye brushes as compared to the sponge tip applicators included. They are easily removed with a basic makeup wipe.

Overall I like the quality of the shadows-defiantly didn't skimp on producing one good shadow. I did find that the matte shade in the Natural smokes palette a little hard to work with as it's was a little chalky.
