Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser
Packaging:
Oval clear hard plastic bottle. There is a wide blue pump that matches the refreshed branding packaging on the bottle. The pump isn't retractable making it not travel friendly at all. It is easy to see how much product is left but due to the thicker plastic might take a little more effort to remove the remaining product.
Smell:
Masculine, like a mans' cologne.
Colour:
Sheer dark grey.
Formula/ Texture:
This is a thick and smooth gel. It's lightweight and easy to pump out and apply. A little bit defiantly goes a long way with this cleanser as I learnt the hard way. I've had no irritation, burning or itchiness with this cleanser. I love the oil free and dermatologist tested formula.
The additional of charcoal really helps to attract and draw out dirt and any trapped impurities which is perfect for acne prone skin. This combination helps to reduce pimples and blackheads and acne marks. The bottle indicates that compared to a basic cleanser, this'll give a twice more cleansing result which I didn't really see.
I did see a more deep clean cleansing. The unique aspect of this cleanser is that it left a cooling almost peppermint sensation once the cleanser was washed off. Very similar to a fresh crisp winters morning. I've never experienced any skin product like that. I'm loving using this for this sensation as it just gives an overall refreshed feel.
Charcoal is a natural ingredient so for sensitive skin types, this won't cause any irritations. I do recommend to avoid the eye area as this skin is delicate and this cleanser did cause a slight tingling/ burning feeling.
I think those who want a deep down daily cleanser, have any type of skin will enjoy this as it's gentle. If you don't like cooling feeling products then you won't like this.
