Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation

Packaging:
Glass palm sized thick bottle with a blue pump lid and clear cap. The packaging has matching blue and silver text. A decent amount of product is dispensed with the pump.

Smell:
None.

Colour:
010 Ivory - warm beige with orange undertones. Opaque pigmentation with a natural finish. Buildable coverage. Available in 8 shades.

Formula/ Texture:
This is a thin, runny liquid. It is easy to apply but you do have to be quick to blend it in due to the runny consistency. It's easy to remove with a basic makeup wipe. I've had no irritation, burning or breakouts. It take take a few minutes to set on the face and even this felt as though it was sitting onto of the face rather then into.

Let me start off by saying I got the second lights shade available and it's a tad too dark for me. If I use it lightly I can get away with it, but this does diminish the coverage. The lightest shade was had too much of a grey cast and I know that would have looked horrible on me. While this doesn't degrade my thoughts, it's going to make it harder to find an appropriate shade.

The formula contains SPF 14 which I haven't noticed any white cast in photos but I wouldn't rely on it as a daily sunscreen. Great for sensitive skin as there's no perfume and is non comedogenic tested.

This has a hydrating foundation with Actyl C which evens skin tone for better looking skin in 3 weeks. I'd have to say that while there was no noticeable dramatic difference. I personally prefer to keep these aspects to my skin care and let the foundation be just that.

It's also an energising vitamin formula, giving a healthier appearance as if it's renewed. It does provide a natural finish which is okay as it lets the dimension of the skin show through. Those with oily skin will need to set it with a powder to get a more matte finish on the t-zone otherwise by mid afternoon there will be some slight natural oiliness coming through. I do have other foundations that don't so this. I honestly didn't notice my skin looking or feeling more 'energised'.

Apart of the Superstay line which is formulated to last 12 hours and beyond. I did find that with the different amounts I applied I got an average of 6 hours wear before it started to show signs of fading. This is also using a combination of setting powder and setting spray.

Those with oily, sensitive or acne prone skin types will want to be cautious with this foundation as it may make any oily areas more noticeable if not set and possibly block pores, depending on how reactive the skin is. Those who would really love it, are normal skin types.
