Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers
I read and heard great things about these eyelash curlers. I know, a lot of talk over a simple and affordable makeup tool, so what gives? Feeling as though my eyelashes never really curl much by the Shisdeo curlers I decided to pick these up. I have average sized and shape eyes. Also I will say from the onset I alternate each one on a daily basis.

Packaging:
Shiny silver eyelash curlers with 'Shu Uemura' engraved on the outside plate that sits on your eye. It does come with a replacement pad.
Comparison to Shiseido:
I am only comparing these curlers they are the only ones I have. Both have comfortable handles though the Shiseido has less room for your fingers to move around. Both operate with ease and open the same large width, with Shiseido that little bit more. Both pads are firm and upholds the plate well. While they are different colours this doesn't matter to me, the effect does.
The pictures I tried really hard to line up the same as the handles got in the way of one another. Shu Uemura has more of a rounded plate meaning it fits over my eye much better, giving me a better curl. Im thinking Asian eyes that are more flatter may find the Shiseido ones to give a better curl.
The height and lip of this plate is taller in the Shu Uemura also, meaning it'll fit nicer over medium to large eyes Only upon comparing the two curlers are these differences seen. I can see that the curl lasts longer and all the lashes are more curled with the Shu Ueumera eyelash curlers. Personally for me the Shu Uemura curlers are perfect for me and are worth it. Yes I do use the Shiseido ones for when I want a a quick natural eye.
I honestly think that quality tools to deliver on quality performance. That goes for makeup brushes. I know that eyelash curlers probably don't seem like a tool but they are a necessity to open up the eye. It's like buying a cheap foundation wedge or sponge or spending $20 on a Beauty Blender. Both are essentially sponges but the later delivers a much flawless application and finish at the more expensive price. There does come a point where the high end brands have the same quality and finish as the mid price range as they are generally all under the same couple of companies.
As funny as it sounds I do think looking and feeling the eyelash curlers in person will help in deciding if they will fit your eye and give you the best possible curl.
