MAC Fix+ Spray

I have been hearing a lot about this product for setting makeup which wasn't something I think wouldn't have worked or just a gimmick product, so I was curious to give it a go and see the result and compare it against the Australias Makeup Setting Spray.

Packaging:
The Fix+ comes in a tall, skinny spray bottle. The container is frosted while the cap is a round circular lid that twists open and shut, perfect for travelling. I like the nozzle as well. the way you can easily tell if the lid is open or closed. The spray from the nozzle was a little more concentrated in terms of direction width. So the spray didn't spread over a wide area. This does take some time to get used to, but I suggest to spray small sections of the face at a time but not so close to the face so more area of the face is covered. Overall the packaging is simple, practical with sleek lines.

Smell:
Fresh with Sugi that is known for it's energising propertites.

Colour:
Clear.

Texture/ Formula:
It is infused with vitamins and minerals, green tea, chamomile & cucumber to calm the skin. In terms of hydrating the skin, I haven't found it to do the opposite and dry my skin out but I haven't noticed a dramatic hydration in my skin. If anything I do think it does provide an extra bit of hydration to the skin.

I really like this spray. At first I thought this wasn't really going to work as a setting spray and it was over-hyped. This as far as I know is one of the most cult makeup products for MAC and the best makeup setting spray to use so of course this is the main factor in terms of deciding if this product is worth using and testing out. Now the makeup setting ability of this spray is the main benefit of the spray. I have used this for about 3 months testing the ability in both the extreme cold in Japan and extreme heat temperature I can happily and honestly say that this stuff works! It provides the ability to make my makeup last a few hours longer as compared to no spray.

Compared to the Australias Makeup Setting Spray, I feel as thought the MAC performs better. I noticed that my makeup looked fresher, colours and staying power of my makeup was more evident at a longer period of time than the Australias. That would be a good option if the staying power of makeup wasn't a major concern for someone and they were purely using the spray to freshen and hydrate the skin. MAC would be suited of those who also want their makeup to last that tad bit longer.

Available:
