Overview | Top Spring/ Summer Nail Colours

It's getting to that time of the year when things are starting to heat up and this really excites me.

Without fail I have a small selection of nails colours that I have on rotation throughout the warmer months that I love wearing (plus all year round). So as a new post, I thought I'd show you some of my favourite picks for the Spring/ Summer seasons.

L-R: OPI Bubble Bath, Your Such A Budapest, Dating A Royal,  Pink Flamenco

I don't know about you but I love bright colours during summer, playing off the heat and excitement that comes with the months. So a vivid pink like OPI's Pink Flamenco shown here is a fun, girly way to add some colour. I also love a tomato red or even an orange red colour but I finished up those bottles last year, so a fresh new one will have to be purchased soon.

Now not all summer colour shave to be girly. Another bright colour is a citrus colour like yellow or orange. I have these colours that I'll be cracking out of the first time this summer! Also a nice royal blue like the Dating A Royal colour shown above. Not a navy and not a sky blue, a royal blue adds that hint of sexiness and suductiveness in the deep tones yet has this bright, fresh and sophisticated feel to it. At least thats what I think when I see it.

On the other spectrum, the soft pastel colours are lovely in the Spring. Think of your mints, lavenders, baby blue colours. Your Such A Budapest colour above, is a new purchase from last year and honestly Im not sure how my nail collection lived without it. I know dramatic. Im boring in the sense I typically only like sold nail colours, nothing with shimmer or dual chrome. I do own Teenage Dream which I absolutely love, but that stetting off topic. Your Such A Budapest has this ultra fine silver glitter in it that can only be seen up close. So when this catches the sun light, it such has this pretty glow.

These soft colours reflect the soft and gentle weather and the easy, breezy social nature of the season. Which is why the nude/ beige colours fit in here. I think that they look chic year round but Bubble Bath is a natural beige pink colour that is sheer enough to have that soft look. A mint colour is something that I would love to get my hands on soon.

Again this is just my opinion. I'm not the one to restrict colours to certain seasons, I wear whatever my mood depicts.  However I do know I tend to grab for the same colours more in the cooler and warmer seasons.
