Starter Products | MAC

My top products to give you a taste of what Mac has to offer.

Mineral Skin Finish Natural (MSF Natural)
It's a low coverage powder but that extra tint of colour can be all you need to even out the skin. I love the natural semi-matte finish it gives. It's a baked powder with mineral pigments meaning it doesn't have any harmful ingredients. It's a soft and velvety powder that is awesome to set foundation and when worn on it's own. It does also last a long while.

Lipstick
Any formula of lipstick will be a good test. MAC does have a very wide variety of shades that smell like vanilla. I have four different formulas and they all have equal long staying power on my lips. Easy to apply too. My favourite shades are; Blankety, High Tea and Angel.

Blush - Pink Swoon
Ahhh MAC's blushes are soft, velvety, easy to apply and blend. Pink Swoon however is a sheer blush with a matte finish, giving a natural bright pick flush to the cheeks. Now don't be scared with the word 'bright', in the pan the shadow looks overwhelming but it when swatched the colour is sheer and wearable.

Eyeshadow
The vast majority of MAC's eyeshadows have great pigmented with a soft and smooth texture to them. Some shades are formulated for sheer application but with an extensive shade range, there is a finish and colour for you. I found the matte formulas to be the most difficult to work with as the powder is stiff so I avoid those. Alot of them pair very nicely together for an overall look.  Let your heart go wild!! My favouritve shades are; Woodwinked, All That Glitters, Patina, Soft Brown.

I hope this has given you some idea of what products to steer towards when at the MAC counter. I may do another starter suggestion from another brand that I have tried?? Not sure, maybe this could turn into a series?
