Wide & stumpy clear plastic bottle with a small white screw top cap. It's a simple packing with minimum white text. Great for indicating how much product is left. This set also came with a palm fixed metal tin.
Smell:
Vanilla.
Colour:
Blue (in high concentration).
Formula/ Texture:
This is rinse free, quick drying solution. It's non greasy or oily. The formal cleanses, conditions and deodorises brushes.
The purpose is for makeup artist to use on the go to deeply clean make up brushes between clients. They are ready to use once the bristles are dry which can be upto 5minutes if the bristles are thick. It helps loosen the makeup pigment stuck on the bristles even on long wearing formulas.
The best way to use this is to pour a little bit in the tin that will cover ¼ of the brush hairs of the particular brush. The brush hairs soak up the liquid, then wipe the sides of the brush against the tine to get excess liquid out. You can see the makeup dissolve out of the brush, break up in the tin. Stroke in up and down motion on a paper towel or rag.
You can see the makeup transfer onto the paper towel and wipe out of the brush. I tried it on a foundation brush that hadn't been washed in a week and the result was amazing. These are the above photos. It was a pretty grotty look with 5 days of long wear foundation. The end result was a soft brush hair that was actually white!!
You can continue to dip and wipe out the same brush if it's required. This is a dense kabuki brush so it did dry within 5 minutes, I was quite amazed! I love this. It's fast, efficient and convenient. No liquid gets to the ferrule beeches the brush is always held upside down.
I had heard people talk about this and I though they were talking crap but no this is the legit thing! Compared to my MAC brush cleanser, this one from Cinema Secrets I will be considering my 'deep cleaning' formula and MAC used for small brushes for spot cleaning. My baby shampoo use for deep cleaning will most likely be the backup plan. I will need to alternate every week between the baby shampoo and this to see if there is any cons for just using this for deep cleaning.
