February Favourites

Evian Mineral Spray has worked wonders is refreshing my face where it's been humid and still effective unlike when it's super hot. It's actually a great benefit more then I thought.

This is the month that I decided to book a trip to go to Europe later this year. I did do it later in the month but I'm very excited about all things Europe. Top things to do/ see/ taste/ experience. Weather expectations. What to pack/ take. I'm taking it all in!

Pastels have been another favourite this month but more specifically in clothes. From sheer aqua tops to a combination of light pink and lavender shades with very slight hints of yellow. I am in love!! It's such a softer take during summer especially as it contradicts the harsh heat. I haven't been able to find anything to wear on my bottom half yet. I can't wait to start pairing them with cream cardigans and thick cable sweaters and light jackets that drape off the body for the coming colder weather!! I don't want to wish away the warm season yet!

I've actually come quite accustomed and happy in shopping my stash. I don't know if it's because I've watch many 'makeup clearout/ decluttering' videos on YouTube over the last couple of months. Or due to the fact that I don't like to hoard anything I'm not going to use, especially it it's very similar to other products. Too many products create clutter which in turns gives me anxiety that I'm not going to use all the products and it'll go to waste.

This means that my collection contains the products that I love and aren't expired. With all the new collections coming out for Autumn/ Spring it has motivated me to sift through my collection and use those products that are old and just aren't cutting it anymore.

I have used up a handful of lip products. These are my weakness. It's the one category that gets me every time and that I could have a whole makeup tower full of. It has been interesting to find that my taste in shades and finishes has changed. I no longer enjoy glitter formulas or MAC's lustre formula.

Actually speaking of MAC, I am currently working on reducing my stash down to the shades that I enjoy all year round and not on a seasonal basis. May be shocking to some but I want to wear makeup that has a high worthy status to me everyday. And I have found a select number of MAC shades that I really enjoy.

This goes with getting rid of products that just don't work for me to family members. I used to stick with products because I had this mindset that I'm going to get my money's worth if I paid for it and find a way to use it. That's a lot of effort. More then I think is needed. It's not for me it's not the end of the word, it may be someone elses Holy Grail item?
