February Favourites

Evian Mineral Spray has worked wonders is refreshing my face where it's been humid and still effective unlike when it's super hot. It's actually a great benefit more then I thought. This is the month that I decided to book a trip to go to Europe later this year. I did do it later in the month but I'm very excited about all things Europe. Top things to do/ see/ taste/ experience. Weather expectations. What to pack/ take. I'm taking it all  in! Pastels have been another favourite this month but more specifically in clothes. From sheer aqua tops to a combination of light pink and lavender shades with very slight hints of yellow. I am in love!! It's such a softer take during summer especially as it contradicts the harsh heat. I haven't been able to find anything to wear on my bottom half yet. I can't wait to start pairing them with cream cardigans and thick cable sweaters and light jackets that drape off the body for the coming colder weather!! ...

Beauty Blender air.port pro + Benefit Kit

Image
Packaging: Black mesh palm sized bag with a magnetic closure. I dry my beauty blender on my window seal where it gets the most light and air to breathe. I've noticed that dust and dirt come in over the course of a few months especially during winter. I don't  think that's hygienic especially transferring possible bug remidents onto my face. I've seen this mesh bag before and though that it'll suit my needs perfectly. Now I can keep this on my window still with the less likelihood of the sponge getting 'dirty'.  It's a lot smaller then I had imagined which is fine and makes it perfect for stage and any travelling. The closure is magnetic which really weighs the bag down when it's empty. It has a cute miniature beauty blender sponge keychain. It has enough space to fit two sponges and three snug. It was also time for me to get a new sponge so this set caught my eye. What sealed the deal for me and made this a bargain was the deluxe same...

Ole Henrisken Sheer Transformation Creme

Image
Packaging: Solid thick plastic jar with black screw lid. The jar has blue and white elements that reflect a flaming mood. There is also a plastic stopper which helps keep the creme in the jar not lid. Smell: Faint sunscreen. Not my favourite but it doesn't linger. Colour: White. Formula/ Texture: This is a thick and smooth cream. I do feel as though the amount I use to cover my face is more then a pump moisturiser like Olay Total Effects. This could be in my mind though. It's easily absorbed and doesn't feel as though it takes long to penetrate into my skin. There's no greasy feeling and is lightweight. The formula is oil free which is working out great for my combination sk in as it hasn't broken me out!  The reason I choose to try this if you haven't watched my Sephora haul is because I want to start fading the acne scarring I have. I'm not sure if I have hyper pigmentation ( darkening of the skin caused by an overprodu...

St Tropez Self Tan Starter Kit

Image
Packaging: These mini deluxe sized products come in their own see through box. The tan enhancing polish   comes in a typical plastic squeeze bottle and clear cap and is distinguished by it's blue colour. The Tanning mousse itself comes in a opaque white pump bottle with a tinted blue cap. The tan enhancing moisturiser comes in a typical plastic squeeze bottle and clear cap and is distinguished by it's white colour. Tan Enhancing Polish Smell: Floral. Colour: White with blue iridescence. Formula/ Texture: Liquid with lots of sugar like scrub particles. While this does act as an exfoliant, I don't find it to really polish the skin of dead skin cells. There isn't enough lotion to move the sugar particles around the skin so I do feel like I have to work harder to get to do so. It would be great for those with really sensitive skin. It's good and does the job but not a must have. Your favourite body scrub will be sufficient. Bronz...

Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipstick

Image
Packaging: Light purple/pink plastic square casing with a silver tube. The twist up mechanism is easy to use and no problems with it. This is typical packing of Maybelline lipstick ranges. The bullet is a standard slanted tip. It does feel cheap and not as substantial compared to other brands. Smell: Vanilla. Colour: 715 Hibiscus Pop - pink with slight warm undertones. 720 Peony Power - bright pink with cool/blue undertones. 740 Coral Burst - coral with warm undertones. All have sheer pigmentation with a satin finish. Builable colour. Available in 10 shades. Formula/ Texture: This is thin and creamy in consistency. It's does skip a bit during application but doesn't tug at the lips, with no lipliner needed. It is lightweight on the lips. They are easily removed with a basic makeup wipe. The 'brighter shades' like Coral Burst' and 'Peony Power' do leave a slight stain behind. Theres no feathering, creasing, bleedi...

January Favourites

Image
This months favourites have to do with summer and the lovely and amazing weather that's associated with this. First of all I've been spending more time in the sun which means getting a tan. Sometimes I underestimate how strong the UVs are and end up little bit burnt and also vera gel has come in handy! It's cooling and soothes the redness but also helps to heal the burnt skin quicker by adding back the lost moisture. I've also love applying it just to cool down the skin when it's  really hot. With extreme heat comes extreme sweating. That is never pretty. I recently picked up the Dove clinical protection anti perspirant deodorant stick. I don't classify myself as a heavy sweater but I was curious to see how well it would work. My body did feel cooler on the days when I used this and yes there as no sweating! It was comforting to know that my underarms weren't going to be pools of sweat. I've also been loving the L'Oreal Casting Sunki...

Ulta Haul | January - First Drugstore for the year!

Image
Well it was done again. A drugstore beauty haul! It's one of those  situations  where you go  particularly   for   one  item and leave with a whole bunch of other stuff. Expect in my case it was clicking online and adding things to my cart! Nothing like new makeup to play with! ;) Urban Decay Setting Spray Duo $40 I needed a refill/ restock of this from the travel size I got in  America. I remember with all the Christmas sets and gift packs that UD had this full sized duo at Ulta.  One is $30 and the duo was $40. I thought it was risky to but two  full sized products but I figured for how much I  absolutely  love the travel sized spray, it'll be worth my money. Maybelline Colorsensational Rebel Bloom Lipsticks $9ea These are some of the newest lip colours for the new season. While our seasons are opposite to America and these are intended for Spring they'll still work amazing for our Summer! They appear to be...
