Skindinavia No Glow Oil Control Primer Spray

Packaging:
Small smooth black bottle with a black pump and clear protective cap. There are accents of metallic text that pop against the black background. The spray pump isn't hard nor get stuck. I find it very durable and portable and would be suitable for travel.

However it's hard to immediately distinguish how much product is left just by looking at it. This can be felt by the weight of the bottle. Light, wide spray.

Smell:
Floral.

Colour:
None.

Formula/ Texture:
The first thing I noticed is how quickly this spray dried and 'set' on my face and this translates through to the cooler months of the year. It's not a major difference but these small things do add up and it's nice not have to wait the 15 or so seconds for the spray to dry.

This formula is clinically proven to reduce the shine and oil with continued use. I know this is going on a tangent but the name of the formula doesn't seem to match the benefits of the spray. I wouldn't mind a glow just no shine and some people want a dewy look, so instead 'No Shine' would be a better fit.

It's very easy and quick to apply. The spray itself is very light to the typical strength of a spray product that I would automatically think of. Again a nice change but does get used to the adjustment as at first I felt as though I had to use 6 sprays to reach the same face spray 'saturation' if you like as a typical spray. This is totally wrong.

You literally need 3 sprays (centre, left, right) about 8cm away from face. Skindinavia do recommend 2-4. The key though, is to give this a really good shake before use. There is no additional matte or sheen finish with this spray.

It's hard to find the benefits of this formula other than what's on the bottle. It contains good ingredients as it's paraben free, oil free, dermatologist and hypoallergenic tested so anyone can use it and love it. There has been no staining of clothing etc and the formula isn't sticky/ tacky.

In terms of controlling oil, I didn't notice a dramatic difference compared to bare skin with no primer. I did notice that my makeup lasted an extra few hours (again compared to bare skin), where I noticed some fading around the 6hr wear mark. This was scary and nerve raking for me as I wasn't used to such short wear of makeup.

I don't feel as though this extends the longevity of the traditional makeup liquid primers I've tried, however it does better compared to bare skin. It's a good option for those who hate the feel of silicone primers or who won't to avoid using their fingers for application, or don't feel the need for primer but want an additional hydration layer before makeup.
