L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara

Packaging:
Matte black slim tube with good text and cap. The wand is a wire bristle brush that has full even length brissles that taper quickly to the tip which I would call a classic wand shape.

Smell:
Wax.

Colour:
335 Carbon Black

Formula/ Texture:
This is a slick and thin consistency. It's easily removed with a basic makeup wipe however I do find there is some black residue left below the lower lashes that takes further removal to be totally removed.

I did find some smudging on my lower lashes. This was applying mascara lightly both after and before the use of  makeup setting spray. Personally I don't have time with smudges or checking throughout the day and removing this. Using a setting spray after application is the best method to reduce any smudges.

I also get some tiny transfer on my lid from my top lashes. Waiting a minute for this to dry avoids this. There is no absolutely no stiffness to my lashes.

I find that my lashes are lengthed and have nice volume. As the formula is slick when first opened I find my lashes droop down and loose their curl even if an eyelash curler was used after 3 hours. It makes me think that this would be a very great mascara once the formula is a little drier, just depends on how long that takes. 

I don't mind too much with mascaras like this that give better volume when they've been exposed to air longer. Just as long as within the first few weeks this happens and there's no sign of flakiness in month. Noone wants to buy a product to only be able to use it the last third of it's expected lifespan. 

So I've had a chance to use this with the formula is a little drier which took ? weeks. 

Honestly I'm not a fan of this formula, it's too slick for me causing smudging and transferring. I don't think mascara should be applied with caution and needs to be an easy mascara that delivers the result you're after once it's opened so you're not wasting money from the time it's not in use. However if this is something you love in a mascara, then this is worth checking out.

Packaging: Small clear tube with white screw lid with brush tip applicator. Smell: None. Colour: Ruby red colour. Light coverage/ sheer pigmentation with a natural finish. On the cheeks it is a lot more sheered out and is more pink looking. Texture/ Formula: This is a quite runny and thin. It absorbs and sinks into the skin quite quickly. So it must be applied onto one cheek at a time, blending it immediately. Benefit They're Real! Mascara

I got this sample size from The Champions of Bronze kit. Packaging: Shiny gunmetal wand handle with a gunmetal tube. The wand as long plastic bristles with a spiked ball at the end of it. This ball utilises the end of the mascara wand and reaches into the smaller lashes in the inner corner of the eye. Smell: Just the usual mascara smell. Colour: Black. Opaque pigmentation. Formula/ Texture: This is more of a wet mascara but with a really thin scraper that doesn't leave any clumps of mascara on the wand. It's a thinner wand which made applying it easy. I wasn't going through my lashes trying to separate my lashes and then add volume then back to separating a clump. Theres no flaking or transferring. It's is easily removed with makeup wipes.
