Current Obsessions | APRIL

Similar to monthly favourites, I've really starting noticing sine last year how I discover something and instantly love it and have become obsessed with it. So I thought that could be something could share.

And no, this isn't going to be all about makeup. Some months it might be, but as general as lifestyle obsessions, from beauty to skincare to clothes to music to food to an action etc. Everything that we fall in love with. I haven't planned on limiting the items for these cause I really don't want a fake amount of items to share.

I realise the bringing of the year is over, but I have to start somewhere right? 'Current Obsessions' seems to fit more than 'Monthly Favourites' cause while I continue to be obsessed with and love the item/s it's more of a passionate feeling of what I've can't be getting enough of!

So to kick it off here are this months' obsessions;

White Blazers

There's something about the clean and crisp look of them. Anything white with me, I instantly stain but I still love how casual and versatile the colour is, especially in a blazer.

Gold & White Chevron iPhone Case
I got this at the end of March and have been obsessed. A bargain of $19 from JB Hi Fi! I don't tend to gravitate towards gold but the white helps break it down for me and tone down the glam of the gold. I like chevron prints and this was a unique case with a smaller print that I hadn't seen anywhere else. The fact that it's shiny also gets me but it also means the scratches so easier and the OCD portion of me hates that but I remember that's life and it's only a phone case that can be easily replaced.

Decluttering Makeup {by mixing 2 foundations to get my shade}
I have a very dark and light foundation that I don't wear. One has shorter longevity then the other, so in order to use them up and get the longer longevity, I've been mixing the two together. These are the YSL Teint Resist and Revlon Colorstay foundations. I admit I don't get the proportions right every day but they are close enough that my face is extremely dark compared to my neck.

I like how it forces me to use what I have instead of reaching for something new. I have noticed that if I use too much of the colorstay, it breaks me out, so again it's a good way to still use up a product that I'm not so much in love with and let it sit in my collection.

Flowers in a simple vase

They add a feminme touch, some greenery and become a decor piece. Of course real flowers would add some aroma to the room but artificial flowers are easier to maintain, cheaper and don't require any water. I really want a vase of white flowers in my room to create some different interest and texture.
