Skindinavia Bridal Finish Makeup Setting Spray

Packaging:
Matte almost rubberised finish plastic spray bottle with a clear protective cap. There are accents of pink text/ images that pop against the black background. The spray pump isn't hard nor get stuck. I find it very durable and portable and would be suitable for travel.

However it's hard to immediately distinguish how much product is left just by looking at it. This can be felt by the weight of the bottle. Light, wide spray.

Smell:
Floral.

Formula/ Texture:
The first thing I noticed is how quickly this spray dried and 'set' on my face and this translates through to the cooler months of the year. It's not a major difference but these small things do add up and it's nice not have to wait the 15 or so seconds for the spray to dry.

The spray itself is very light to the typical strength of a spray product that I would automatically think of. Again a nice change but does get used to the adjustment as at first I felt as though I had to use 6 sprays to reach the same face spray 'saturation' if you like as a typical spray. This is totally wrong.

You literally need 3 sprays (centre, left, right) about 8cm away from face. I feel that the strength of the spray extends the lifespan of a bottle and therefore you can get more uses out of it (the webiste says 300 sprays per bottle - impressive). The key though is to give this a really good shake before use. There is no additional matte or sheen finish with this spray.

The spray contains good ingredients as it's paraben free, oil free, dermatologist and hypoallergenic tested so anyone can use it and love it. There has been no staining of clothing etc and the formula isn't sticky/ tacky. The hold this gives to makeup is amazing and very uncomparable. My blush does fade a tad throughout the day but the rest of my makeup looks as fresh as first applied!!

The bottle claims to hold for 16hrs and while I haven't tested this, the 9hrs or so that I have, I can say will be true. I do find it to remove any extra shine that may appear towards the end of a day which also creates better photography. It's honestly heat/humidity/stress resistant. You honestly have to try it to understand my jabber!

Now compared to MAC Fix+......
MAC was the first setting spray I used. Compared to no bare skin, MAC was better and held my makeup longer. Compared to Skindinavia, it didn't do so well. I checked MACs website and the product description indicates that the Fix+ is more of a vitamin enriched spray that calms and gives skin an extra boost of hydration but also that it 'finishes makeup'.

I have more combination skin so I'm not sure if this is why the Skindinavia shows better results for me? Honestly it does a much better job of making my makeup stay put and look the way it did when first applied which is the main reason why I use a setting spray. For a week I alternated each day between the two and MAC just didn't have the same durability.

MAC is available online and at MAC counters for $27 100ml ($0.27 per ml). Skindinavia is available only online for $40 for 118ml ($0.34 per ml). The price difference is roughly $10 but for the result, extra product, Skindinavia is worth it.

Look I will continue to use the MAC as an additional hydration spray, purely to use it up. This is nice  pick-me-up option but for the price, it's overkill. If you need to be hydrating your face with a mister that often you probably want to think about drinking more fluids and invest in a better face moisturiser.

Available:
From skindinavia.com.au for $40 for 118ml. No other sizes are available either.
