M.A.C Purple 9x Palette

Packaging:
This is a palm sized plastic palette with a magnetic closure which adds extra security. The casing is a matte black with a clear window lid which is an advantage. I don't find fingerprints are emphasised at all. Overall it does give a more sleeker look. Inside is the 9 small pans that are not removable.
Smell:
None.

Formula/ Texture:
This are chalky, thin powders. They are best applied dry using a brush. Due to the sheer pigmentation multiple layers of colour are required to build the intensity. It's easily removed with a basic makeup wipe.
These lasted 6 hours before I got creasing. They did require more work to blend out.
These feel formulated totally different to the full size shadows. The chalky texture is disappointing but the lack of pigment that translate from the pan to eye is even more disappointing!! The theory/idea of the range of palettes is perfect but more attention to the actual formula would have made this worth it.
It's a lot of work to make these colours translate in the eye like they show in the pan. A lot of layers to build the intensity. I find the second and third colours to be exactly the same shade on the eye which is also shit.
