Benefit Powderflage Powder Concealer
I have heard wonderful and positive raves about this Powderflage Powder concealer from Benefit. It’s about ~$35 so I have been hesitating purchasing it but when I heard rumours that it was being discontinued I found it online for $30 and decided to give it a go.

Packaging:
First of all Benefit is known for their cute packaging (and is probably included in the price tag). The Powderflage Set comes with the Flager brush, the powderflage, ‘beauty lesson booklet’ (instructions) all in this metal tin shorter than the length of my hand. I like how they have adapted the army/camouflage feel onto the tin, ‘cause that’s exactly what the product is designed to do.
Inside the tin is crimped cardboard which runs along with the army theme and makes me know that the marketing team at Benefit have thought the whole theme out extending to even the inside of the tin. And I like the light pink writing, adds a feminine touch.

As for the Powderflage container itself, it’s a small round thick plastic dome. The screw top (pink half) reveals the clear base with a product sifter that allows only a certain amount of product through. When opening for the first time this has a clear sticker stopping the powder from spilling out which has to be removed to be used. The container is durable and small enough to fit anyplace you store your makeup. Another benefit is the bottom half of the container is clear so it’s a good indicator of when your empty.
Smell:
None.
Colour:
Light pink with some fine silver shimmer that fades when blended into the skin. Sheer pigmentation with a matte finish. I tried swatching it on my hand below, if you can see the creases in my hand near my vein towards the bottom of the photo, is filled with a light pink powder and appear more blurred.

Texture/Formula:
It has a silky texture which is easily to blend. It does stay put throughout the day, but the slight shimmer in the powder does bother me on a close up for some reason.
The Flager brush is small, slim and easy to use too. The bristles are not scratchy but surprising soft as I don’t think they look soft. I don’t find the handle too short or a hassel to use. However if you do find this, MAC’s 224 brush is a good alternative. It is dense so it does pick up a decent amount of product for both under eyes. It can be used on its own or over the top of liquid concealer. You only need a tiny bit so the container is going to last a long time.

I took comparison photos of this camouflage powder and I noticed the right under eye area with Powderflage looks lighter and more awake than the left. I am amazed at the difference. The pink tones in the powder help give that more awake effect. Defiantly a new love!
