Maybelline Master Sculpt Contour Compact

Packaging:
Sqaure bulky shiny but smooth compact with a snap closure. The lid has a window so the shades can be seen with metallic text. Lifting the lid reveals the round pan powders. Lifting this portion reveals a hidden travel domed brush and mirror. Even with this I do feel like this could be made to be less bulky.

The bristles on the bush aren't scratchy to the touch but it's been poorly cut with the dome shape uneven. I would like see a divider between the two shades so you don't highlight the contour your doing.

Smell:
None.

Colour:
01 Light/ Medium
1 Contour - light brown with warm undertones. It has a matte finish.
2 Highlight - soft icy beige with warm undertones. It has a satin finish.

Also available in a darker shade.

Formula/ Texture:
This is an extremely buttery powder that does kick up some excess powder. They are easy to apply and blend. I do recommend tapping your brush before touching it to your face to make sure you don't create a blotchy spot on your face.

I love how drugstore brands are starting to imitate the higher end brands with more technique specific product such as this. It hits the on trend theme for this summer which is the natural and heathy tan and glow. The highlight isn't too shimmery which is great for younger girls and those who hate the shimmer finish. The satin does make the highlight more natural like.

Both of the products last 5hours on my face using a primer and a setting spray for reference. That's not the best longevity I've found but it makes it great for a more natural, give and easy look.

There's not a lot of fussing with this at all. Great for makeup and contour beginners and those who hate sending forever on their makeup each day.

Available:
From Priceline, chemists and discount department stores for $17 for 9g/0.31oz.
