Nivea Repair & Protection Lipbalm

Image
Packaging: Circular slim aqua plastic cap sleeve on a twist up tube. It's palm sized and very durable and portable. Smell/Taste:  None. Colour: Clear. Formula/ Texture: It's a thick and smooth balm. It's not sticky, greasy or extra drying. The formula has SPF 20 which will be good during the summer. It is for dry lips to help soothe and care. It has Vitamin E that helps to moisturise and hydrate the lips helping to nourish and repair them. I do find this effect to be long lasting too. Defiantly a good formula for very dry lips to quickly repair lips within a few days. Available: From Priceline, pharmacies and discount department stores for $6-7 for 4.8g.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Lip Pencil 'Ozone'

Image
Packaging: Thin round pencil with a silver end and cap and comes in a bright purple cardboard box. The majority of the pencil is coloured to match the lip liner shade. In this case the pencil is white. I can't verify how accurate this is with the remaining shades though. The tip is short but with a soft point and wears down easy. Smell/Taste: None. Colour: Ozone - clear wax. Matte finish. Available in 15 shades. Formula/ Texture: This is a smooth, thick wax. It's easy to apply from the pencil, is lightweight and  comfortable  on the lips.  It's easily  removed with a basic makeup wipe. Easy to sharpen,  I haven't experienced any irritations,  feathering , tugging or skipping when applying and wearing this. My first lipliner. I've never thought having a liner to closely match all your pinks/ reds etc was necessary especially if it was darker then your lip colour, it alters it. I want the colour of my lipstick to show...

Oral B 3D White Strips

Image
I don't review oral hygiene but confidence is beautiful and anything that helps give you this I am all for. White teeth or maybe a beautiful smile can help give confidence. Packaging: Holographic purple box. Each whitening treatment comes in a foil sealed packet. Inside is a clear backing sheet with two small perforations on the side that help to lift the treatment strip off the sheet.  There is a longer top and bottom strip per foil packet. The treatment strip itself has a bumpy side that sits on the outside of the teeth while the smooth side that contains the whitening formula sits against the teeth. Taste: A bit of hydrogen peroxide (whitening agent for all teeth whitening products). It's nowhere near as potent as some of the other products I've tried which is surprising and good. Colour: None. Formula/ Texture: I've had no sensitivity from using these strips to my gums and teeth during or after the month long process. The...

How To: Order Products Online (& Love Them!)

Now I'm not claiming to know it all, but I feel like I have had my fair share of makeup buying online. Especially living in Australia where items are either not available or double the US price. So there is a few tips that I've picked up that I wanted to share. Know You Firstly, know yourself. Know your skin type ie. oily, dry etc and your skin undertone ie. cool or warm. This helps so much when deciding on the right shade of foundation or powder. The wrong shade can look completely off. You know the darker orange or light ashy face look. Not at all flattering. Also know what you want in a product. If you want a mascara that adds volume, the new most talked about mascara that adds length won't really impress you. For me with my combination skin, mousse foundations just do not work. They slip off my t-zone and make my skin look oily and greasy. So I want a foundation with a matte or natural finish, nothing dewy or glowy. Colour Choice Think about what type o...

What's In My Carry On Bag? | Travel Tips

Image
Back in January I did a whole travel series, explaining tips for the different aspects of travel. One of the posts was about a carry on bag . I thought it would be handy to see what I personally take in my carry on bag and how this has been edited for my first long haul, overnight flying. I like taking a bag that can hold a lot more then it's size. This bag is from Strandbags and I thought it'll be perfect for both on the plane and out walking/ touristing around. The colour is perfect for this also going with any outfit. The long cross body strap is additional safety in another country when walking around. The amount of pockets on this bag is perfect for travelling. All different sizes along the front and two on the side for a water bottle and a big decent sized main zip. I do suggest considering what features you want out of a carry on bag, what you are considering of holding in it and what you'd prefer quick access to. For me this was pockets for little thing...
