Oral B 3D White Strips

I don't review oral hygiene but confidence is beautiful and anything that helps give you this I am all for. White teeth or maybe a beautiful smile can help give confidence.

Packaging:
Holographic purple box. Each whitening treatment comes in a foil sealed packet. Inside is a clear backing sheet with two small perforations on the side that help to lift the treatment strip off the sheet.  There is a longer top and bottom strip per foil packet.

The treatment strip itself has a bumpy side that sits on the outside of the teeth while the smooth side that contains the whitening formula sits against the teeth.

Taste:
A bit of hydrogen peroxide (whitening agent for all teeth whitening products). It's nowhere near as potent as some of the other products I've tried which is surprising and good.

Colour:
None.

Formula/ Texture:
I've had no sensitivity from using these strips to my gums and teeth during or after the month long process. The formula is enamel safe which I can agree with. I didn't experience any nasty or off putting taste after removing these. There wasn't any excess formula or gunk leftover either.

The strips themselves do take a few days to adjust to. If you move your mouth around through taking or feeling the strips with your tongue, they will move out of place.

My teeth aren't heavily stained but I have been more conscious of the colouring of them in the last 4 years of drinking a coffee and green tea daily. I don't drink soft drink or smoke. I do brush twice a day and floss at night. It's been a side effect I've been aware and stupidly conscious people were thinking the same whenever I opened my mouth. As you can see from the before photo, I really didn't have much to worry about. Going cold turkey on coffee for a month probably would have reversed this effect.

You do use these twice a day for 30mins at each time. It took me 3 days to find a routine that easily incorporated the treatment in. Removing and applying the strips was easy and straightforward. Honestly I starting seeing a shade or two whiter teeth within the first 5 days. I wasn't expecting this with a months left of treatment still left to go.

Contains 6% hydrogen peroxide which is the most out of any type of whitening product on the market. Pearl Drops Beauty Pearl toothpaste has 0.76% and notes a visible effect in 3 weeks. Colgate Optic White Toothpaste has 1% hydrogen peroxide and notes a visible effect in 4 weeks. It gives the impression they'll work but also cause a quicker and stronger tooth sensitivity that I didn't experience. Now this made a really good impression on me.

Oral B note it removes 10 years of stains in 14 days. While this isn't anywhere near my situation, I was amazed to see a three shade whiter result in the first week of use. During this time I didn't drink any tea or coffee. During the remaining three weeks of the treatments I did incorporate these beverages and the whitening effect has still remained.

THREE SHADES IN ONE WEEK!! It's really unbelievable. I can see how 10 years of stains will actually be removed and even using this in conjunction with the 3D toothpaste and mouthwash. I feel so much more confident now, especially wearing those bright, blue undertoned fashion lipstick shades. I know it sounds stupid that I as feeling this way probably because I wasn't realising how white they were but I can see an overall brighten to my face.

I am still amazed at how fast and gentle these strips are!! I've tried whitening toothpastes mentioned and some pen systems but nothing like this has been readily available in Australia before. This defiantly should have been introduced years ago!

These are now apart of my oral hygiene routine. I have since brought an 28 treatment pack and once a week I do a twice daily treatment. Even though the whiteness hasn't faded, it still maintains it.

I can't speak highly of these. For those who have a bit of staining as I think I had or even to maintain a dentist whitening treatment, then defiantly give this a try. For those sensitive to hydrogen peroxide in both taste and formula will benefit in checking this out. Also those who have sensitive or weak enamel. This will work for anyone.

Available:
From Priceline, pharmacies and discount department stores for $30 for 24 strips.
