All About | Skin Care Tips
My skin is fussy. It can break out without a reason and can be sensitive. So over the years I have learnt some general but very useful skin care tips.
Keep phone screen clean
This is up against the side of your face. In your handbag and having your fingers swiped all over it. These are many opportunities for dirt and bacteria and makeup to catch on the screen and transfer to your face. Keeping it clean regularly will help.
Keep your pillow clean
Again this is up against your face daily. So it's a good idea to make sure that it's clean at least once a fortnight but ideally once a week. It'll help to make sure that the dirt, dust and grime is removed.
Keep your hair and hands away from face
This is a hard one. As much as you can keep all hair off the face. Fringe pinned back cause that can get oily and transfer ono your face causing blemishes. Same goes for hands. Keep them from touching your face and leaning on your hands in anyway.
Rinse face with lukewarm water NEVER hot
Hot water opens up pores but adds to the redness in the skin and dries out the skin more. Lukewarm water won't irritate the skin.
Always splash face with water
This is a gentler method to rinsing the face. The stream or pressure from a shower head is too much on the delicate skin on the face. That's why you see this is cleanser commercials.
Use patting motion
For drying the face patting will not tug at your skin. This gentle method will not cause any premature wrinkles or irritation. This also goes for moisturiser. Patting it into the skin ensures it is evenly spread gently and more deeply then moving it over the face.
Never rub or tug at your face
This applies to applying makeup, rubbing the eyes or stretching the face. It advances the appearance of wrinkles.
