YSL Volume Effect Faux Cils Mascara

Packaging:
Two toned gold box that reflects the circular mascara mirror tube itself. Bottom half is more rose gold. The top where the handle is is seperated by a black YSL logo. The wand is wire with thickness.

None.


Colour:
Very black. Opaque pigmentation. Available in 3 shades.

Formula/ Texture:
This is a dry formula. Lightweight on the lashes. Easy to remove with a basic makeup wipe. I've had no irritations, transferring and slight smudging on the lower lash line only (which is my only complaint).

It has intense pigmentation and a unique formula that doesn't clump! I'm surprised about this compared to another YSL mascara I've tried. There is a triple film complex in the formula; one film for intensify, conditioning film for curve and finally a fixing film for long lasting hold.

There are nylon fibres in the formula that add varying lengths to re-create a more natural voluminous look. I couldn't see these on my lashes or when removing my eye makeup. As I mentioned before, this doesn't clump my lashes up and give any sort of spidery look. Each lash is defined but only thickened at the roots causing a nice fanning of lashes. It honestly does create a very natural looking volume to the lashes.

I am really enjoying this mascara and I've used it a month. Even from first use I could tell I loved it. I don't see too much length but that doesn't really bother me as I have this very awesome and natural volume. I don't know how much more I can say about this.

This is defiantly the YSL mascara to try and spoil yourself with! If you crave lots of length this isn't for you. If you have naturally long lashes on the other hand then you'll enjoy this. Volume seekers will defiantly be surprised and enjoyed this.

Packaging: Small clear tube with white screw lid with brush tip applicator. Smell: None. Colour: Ruby red colour. Light coverage/ sheer pigmentation with a natural finish. On the cheeks it is a lot more sheered out and is more pink looking. Texture/ Formula: This is a quite runny and thin. It absorbs and sinks into the skin quite quickly. So it must be applied onto one cheek at a time, blending it immediately. This is my first tint so I had a hard time adjusting to the application method as I ended up with blotches of tint that no powder could fix. A small amount goes a long way. Benefit They're Real! Mascara

I got this sample size from The Champions of Bronze kit. Packaging: Shiny gunmetal wand handle with a gunmetal tube. The wand as long plastic bristles with a spiked ball at the end of it. This ball utilises the end of the mascara wand and reaches into the smaller lashes in the inner corner of the eye. Smell: Just the usual mascara smell. Colour: Black. Opaque pigmentation. Formula/ Texture: This is more of a wet mascara but with a really thin scraper that doesn't leave any clumps of mascara on the wand. It's a thinner wand which made applying it easy. I wasn't going through my lashes trying to separate my lashes and then add volume then back to separating a clump. Theres no flaking or transferring. It's is easily removed with makeup wipes.
