GHD
I've been back at uni this month and I've been straightening my hair more and thus using my GHD more. I got it in December of 2009 and can't believe why I didn't get one sooner.
Packaging: Opaque white plastic squeeze tube with a twist off cap. The nib is fine and 2mm wide. The packaging has elements of green and brown to tie in with the organic line. It's defiantly durable and travel friendly. The cap has caused me some fussing when it hasn't twisted on evenly the first go. I like being able to cut the tube open to get every ounce of product out. Smell/Taste: None. Colour: White, blends out clear. Formula/ Texture: This is a thin and smooth lotion. It's easily applied and absorbed into the eye area without any greasy film or tackiness. The formula contains aloe vera, avocado, macadamia and rosehip oil meaning it's going to soothe, nourish and soften the eye area. It defiantly hasn't caused any skin irritations or redness. No sulphates, parabens, mineral oils, silicones, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances or TEA's. The rosehip, olive, coconut and macadamia oils help reduce the appearance of fine li...
Packaging: Small clear tube with white screw lid with brush tip applicator. Smell: None. Colour: Ruby red colour. Light coverage/ sheer pigmentation with a natural finish. On the cheeks it is a lot more sheered out and is more pink looking. Texture/ Formula: This is a quite runny and thin. It absorbs and sinks into the skin quite quickly. So it must be applied onto one cheek at a time, blending it immediately. This is my first tint so I had a hard time adjusting to the application method as I ended up with blotches of tint that no powder could fix. A small amount goes a long way. I do use my fingers to apply this and the blending is easier then a brush. This does leave a slight stain on my fingertips. It does have an amazing longevity of 12hrs+, which is what a tint is known for. This can be increased more topped with a powd...
I got this sample size from The Champions of Bronze kit. Packaging: Shiny gunmetal wand handle with a gunmetal tube. The wand as long plastic bristles with a spiked ball at the end of it. This ball utilises the end of the mascara wand and reaches into the smaller lashes in the inner corner of the eye. Smell: Just the usual mascara smell. Colour: Black. Opaque pigmentation. Formula/ Texture: This is more of a wet mascara but with a really thin scraper that doesn't leave any clumps of mascara on the wand. It's a thinner wand which made applying it easy. I wasn't going through my lashes trying to separate my lashes and then add volume then back to separating a clump. Theres no flaking or transferring. It's is easily removed with makeup wipes. I have average length lashes that have a very slight natural curl to them, so I want a mascara that does it all- volume, length and curl. I always curl my lashes before mascara applicati...
