Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon

Packaging:
Gary grey rubberised feeling thin circular tube with one end the raised black 'bite' text. The cap is quite long and reveals a pointed bullet. This does snap securely on and can't come off in transit. The retractable mechanical bullet casing represents the colour inside.

There is 2cm worth of actual product making this quite expensive. The tube feels lightweight, luxurious and comfortable to hold in the hand. It's size is handbag and travel friendly.

Smell/Taste:
Vanilla.

Colour:
Cognac - dark brown with red undertones. Full pigmentation with a semi matte finish.
Available in 12 shades.

Formula/ Texture:
This is a thin and smooth consistency. The pointed tip of the bullet makes application easy and precise. It will cling to dry skin, so keeps the lips hydrated and exfoliated. I'm not sure how the lighter shades will go with this. It feels comfortable and lightweight on the lips. It does take a but of specialised make up remover to fully remove this.

Doesn't settle into lip lines, cause irritation, bleed or feather. With this darker shade, I would recommend using a lip liner of some sort to help with any bleeding. The semi matte finish did provide some transfer onto food and drink. This longevity was about 4 hours. Not bad but not the best.

I like how comfortable and moisturising this felt and for a matte! It's formulas like this that are slowly changing my perspective on matte lip colours. I hate the feel and discomfort of dry lips! The products smoothed well when I pressed my lips together.

Of course Bite Beauty is known for using food grade and good for you ingredients which does stop with this product. Orange peel wax and antioxidant properties are found but parabens, sulphates and phthalates aren't!!

I really enjoyed this formula/ sample. I am persuaded to try some other shades out in this line to see if I get the same experience, even though it's quite expensive per ounce.

Available:
From Sephora, sephora.com for $24 for 1.4g/.05oz. Sample size is 0.03oz. I got mine in America from Sephora in the Sephora Favourites Give Me More Lip set.
