Versace 'Bright Crystal' Perfume Review

Image
Packaging: Tapered square glass bottle with a diamond cut glass cap. The writing is in silver with the perfume a pink liquid. Notes: Top- yuzu, pomegranate, water notes Middle- lotus, magnolia, peony Base- amber, mahogany, musk Smell: This is a sweet perfume. It has a sweet fruit hint but with a bit of musk. I find this to last all day on my skin, getting whiffs of it throughout the day. I think it's either a day or night perfume. I do think it works better all year round  and base notes and suits any age range of women. It's one of those perfumes that attaches to your clothes that you can smell the next day faded. When I smell this, I feel luminous, confident, sexy yet ready for anything. I love this scent and the way it also makes me feel. The scent is strong enough you don't need a whole lot of sprays on the body. This is the other favourite of mine and I think my signature seen, I absolutely love this and fall in love with it, every time I smell...

At Your Destination | Travel Tips

Welcome to my Travel Tip Series. I wanted to create a series of tips and ideas that'll suit anyone, anytime of the year, on any budget, for any length of time away on holiday. As simple as I may be the best tip is to take notes and photos . You may think you'll remember when you get home you and shouldn't have to remember it. This doesn't have to be a typical pen and paper situation, use the notes or reminder app on your smart phone instead. I prefer the journal way, there's something about handwritten journalling.  The same goes for photos- you can never take enough. If you feel as though you should take a photo no matter what silly reason, then do. Better then getting home and wishing you had taken more photos. Unfortunate as it is, be careful of your money and where you keep it on you. This is so important , more so if you're in third war countries or low social economic areas. Europe for example has pickpocketsers that'll slash the bottom of a ...

Gucci 'Gucci II' Perfume Review

Image
Packaging: This bottle is very heavy with simple. It's a short and stubby square glass bottle with a thick round glass cap. The perfume is a purple colour seen through the bottle. The cap is sturdy and clicks shut. Notes: Top- black currant, margarin orange, cassia, red berry, bitter orange Middle-peony, blackberry, violet, freesia, jasmine, lily of the valley Base- musk, heliotrope, cedar Smell: This is a floral perfume. It has hints of floral with a massive lingering musk. I find this to last moderately on my skin so say 4-5 hrs, with not much whiffs throughout the day. I think it can be either a day or night perfume as it isn't too strong. I think it works better in the warmer seasons and the deep amber musk suiting the more 30+ range of women. When I smell this I feel relaxed, casual, as though I'm in the forest like a deep earthy smell with heaps of floral. I'm not a fan of this perfume as it's too woody with this same overpowering flor...

Jet Lag | Travel Tips

Welcome to my Travel Tip Series. I wanted to create a series of tips and ideas that'll suit anyone, any time of the year, on any budget, for any length of time away on holiday. Holidays with international travelling especially across timezones will encounter this. Jet lag is a temporary internal body clock disruption and generally takes 3-4 days to overcome. Now I've never experienced this but I will in June in my first solo holiday where the the difference is 13 hours behind home time. From what I've heard jet lag is killer and ruins the first few days of the trip. So I want to avoid this effect as much as possible and took a visit to my local doctor for help where I was able to pick up some pamphlets too. Symptoms of jet lag include; fatigue, insomnia (not able to get to sleep or enough sleep), dehydration, anxiety, headache, dizziness (from dehydration), nausea, irritability, bowel problems (diarrhoea or constipation), sweating and possibly memory loss. Whil...

Burberry 'Burberry London for Women' Perfume Review

Image
Packaging: Rectangle glass bottle with a solid silver square cap. Wrapped around the bottle is the signature Burberry cream, red and navy tartan fabric print. It does give the bottle a understated chic to it. Notes: Top- rose, honeysuckle, tangerine Middle- taire flower, jasmine, peony, clementine zest Base- sandalwood, patchouli, musk Smell: This is a floral perfume. It has a floral hint but with a underlying musk that's waiting to burst out. I find this to last all day on my skin, getting whiffs of it throughout the day. I think it's either a day or night perfume. I do think it works better in the cooler months from the more deeper middle and base notes and suits any age range of women. It's one of those perfumes that attaches to your clothes that you can smell the next day faded. When I smell this, I feel chic, inspiring with warmth. Like a nice fuzzy blanket on a cold winters night with the rain pouring down outside. The scent is strong so you d...

Types of Packing | Travel Tips

Image
Welcome to my Travel Tips series. I wanted to create a series of tips and ideas that'll suit anyone, anytime of the year, on any budget, for any length of time away on holiday. Packing may be as simple as chucking everything into a suitcase. However this isn't won't be efficient for you in the long run. While it's not a science to it, there is defiantly more effective ways to pack depending on what you're after. Fold This is simply folding your clothes as you would to put them away at home. You can separate the bottoms from bottoms from long sleeved items etc. Roll Take a item of clothing and fold in half to create an square face. Starting from the smallest side, roll the item. These can then be placed into your suitcase. This is the most effective method as it takes up less space in as compared to the other two methods. Great for non wrinkle prone items. Bundle This involves layering clothes face down at alternative 180 degrees to each other. Working ...

Dior 'Midnight Poison' Perfume Review

Image
Packaging: Dark navy tinted glass bottle with four creases that replicate the creases in fabric. This is the same for the cap that is quite smaller to the size of the bottle. Silver writing is the only other element on the bottle. Notes: Top- mandarin, bergamot Middle- rose Base- amber, patchouli, vanilla Smell: This is a sweet deep sensual perfume. It has hints of fruit and vanilla to it initially that turns into a lingering wood scent. I find this to last all day on my skin, getting whiffs of it throughout the day. I think it's a night perfume. I do think it works better all year round for any mature women. It's one of those perfumes that attaches to your clothes that you can smell the next day faded. When I smell and wear this, I change into a different person. I know how weird that sounds, but in a good way I feel upbeat and that everything in my life is positive. I feel sexy, adventurous but a bit exotic, damn attractive, glamorous. I guess as the ...
