Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lipstick - #39 Bermuda Pink LE

Image
Packaging: Thick square tube. The lid is a shiny reflective gold that is 3/4 of the tube. The remainder is a clear thick hard plastic that shows the colour of the lipstick. At the front got he tube is an embossed square with the initials EL in a scriptive font. The tube itself is lightweight but as though there is excess packaging. There's no issues with the twist up of the lipstick and the closing of the cap is slow and a bit chunky and cheap. I have found the gold trimming where the lid meets the bottom to wear off revealing the metal beneath. Smell: Vanilla Colour: #39 Bermuda Pink - Peachy pink with gold shimmer. Medium pigmentation with shimmer finish. An absolutely beautiful colour! Part of the Crystal Shimmer range. This limited edition colour was apart of a Christmas set that I can't find a comparable colour in any of Estee Lauders' current ranges. That's a massive let down, wouldn't they want my money!!? Formula/ Texture: Th...

Skindinavia Bridal Finish Makeup Setting Spray

Image
Packaging: Matte almost rubberised finish plastic spray bottle with a clear protective cap. There are accents of pink text/ images that pop against the black background. The spray pump isn't hard nor get stuck. I find it very durable and portable and would be suitable for travel. However it's hard to immediately distinguish how much product is left just by looking at it. This can be felt by the weight of the bottle. Light, wide spray. Smell: Floral. Formula/ Texture: The first thing I noticed is how quickly this spray dried and 'set' on my face and this translates through to the cooler months of the year. It's not a major difference but these small things do add up and it's nice not have to wait the 15 or so seconds for the spray to dry. The spray itself is very light to the typical strength of a spray product that I would automatically think of. Again a nice change but does get used to the adjustment as at first I felt as though I had t...

Gariner Dark Spot Corrector

Image
Packaging: Metal white squeeze tube with a yellow screw lid. The packing is quote heavy and large for what I was expecting it's larger than a usual or typical moisturiser tube. The metal packaging does get all crumpled when getting down to the last of it and makes it hard to squeeze out. I think that the reason for the metal packaging is because the Vitamin C brightening component is concentrated at 5% and this helps keep at a optimum temperature. Smell: Metal/ fake tan smell on your hands after application. Think this is the Vitamin C complex. Colour: White in high density but clear when applied and absorbed onto skin. Formula/ Texture: I had no hopes for this being a miracle worker in terms of completely removing blemish marks. Especially not in the 4 weeks it was meant to show the greatest results. This gel like moisturiser is easily applied and absorbed onto the skin. There is defiantly no greasy feeling or residue. I did find some reducti...

Revlon Photoready Concealer

Image
Packaging: Black plastic twist up tube with clear plastic lid. It does attract dirty finger marks. The size is portable and the lid does stay firmly on the tube. Smell: None. Colour: Light Pale 002 - more yellow undertoned colour. Medium coverage with a matte finish. There is a light shade and medium colours. R- concealer blended Formula/ Texture: The concealer is creamy and smooth in texture. It is a little thicker then a liquid concealer but is somewhat lightweight on the face. I've found to be very long wearing and works well applied with fingers or a brush. Also you're face needs to be well hydrated and moisturised otherwise it picks up dry skin. This concealer needs to be blended very well into the skin otherwise it looks as though it's just sitting on the face. It is easy to blend with fingers or a brush. It's easy to remove with a basic makeup wipe. I use this under my eyes and I don't have the darkest bags bu...

Benefit They're Real! Mascara

Image
I got this sample size from The Champions of Bronze kit. Packaging: Shiny gunmetal wand handle with a gunmetal tube. The wand as long plastic bristles with a spiked ball at the end of it. This ball utilises the end of the mascara wand and reaches into the smaller lashes in the inner corner of the eye. Smell: Just the usual mascara smell. Colour: Black. Opaque pigmentation. Formula/ Texture: This is more of a wet mascara but with a really thin scraper that doesn't leave any clumps of mascara on the wand. It's a thinner wand which made applying it easy. I wasn't going through my lashes trying to separate my lashes and then add volume then back to separating a clump. Theres no flaking or transferring. It's is easily removed with makeup wipes. I have average length lashes that have a very slight natural curl to them, so I want a mascara that does it all- volume, length and curl. I always curl my lashes before mascara applicati...
