L'oread Infallible Pro-Contour Palette

Packaging:
Vertical rectangle, slim matte black compact. The lid features a small window to see the powder shades which in the empty space behind the lid is a small mirror. The packaging features a sketch face on the window showing the places on the face to highlight and contour as well as white text and a pop of red. It snaps shut securely, with the durable packaging making it great for travel.

The powder sits in the one square pan with a triangle for the contour and highlight and a engraved text for the powders specific step. I find this kind of pan format silly cause theres product wastage in the corners where a full sized makeup brush is too small to fit.

The included brush has long harsh bristles. They are shaped in a soft 'v' with the intention the hollow middle will fit perfectly over the highpoint of your cheekbone, placing highlight and contour where it needs to go.

Smell/Taste:
None.

Colour:
#813 Light
Contour - light brown with cool undertones. Matte finish.
Highlight - light champagne with gold shimmer and warm undertones. Shimmer finish.
Available in 3 shades.

Formula/ Texture:
This is a thick, stiff chalky powder. Powder kicks up after a brush has been swirled in it. It does feel lightweight and can apply patchy is brush is unevenly loaded with product. In these cases it does take some extra time to blend this out seamlessly. It is easily remove with a basic makeup wipe.

The included brush is good ing theory but not in practice, it doesn't blend the colours out as needed when used together. There is no oxidation, irritation, breakouts or change to pore size. This has a longevity of 4 hours, 6 hours with a setting spray.

Loose the brush, make the pans horizontal individual rectangles and reduce the overall compact size and this will be an improvement on the product.

Overall, I found this to be average and hit or miss depending on your skin tone. The highlighter is a pretty shade with just enough shimmer but the formula could be better. As for the contour, it is definitely my winter shade as it doesn't show on a medium skin tone.

Those will fair skin, this will show up muddy and possibly patchy, not giving much hope for any other contour shades in the range if this is the lightest.
