Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks

Packaging:

Matte frosted brown plastic square casing with a silver tube. The twist up mechanism is easy to use and no problems with it. This is typical packing of Maybelline lipstick ranges. The bullet is a standard slanted tip. It does feel cheap and not as substantial compared to other brands.

Smell/Taste:
Vanilla.

Colour:
655 Darling Nude - warm beige with warm undertones.
670 Ravishing Rose - light pink with cool undertones.
665 Lust For Blush - mid tone pink with warm undertones.
695 Divine Wine - light burgundy with red and cool undertones.

All have full pigmentation with a mate finish. Builable colour. Available in 8 shades.

Formula/ Texture:
This is a thick and creamy consistency. It glides on and is so lightweight and comfortable on the lips. They are easily removed with a basic makeup wipe. The 'deeper shades' leave a slight stain behind.

Theres no feathering, creasing, bleeding or filling into lip lines. They don't ball up if too much product is applied but extra layers can be felt. It will cling onto dry lips so do exfoliate if this is a problem for you. It does transfer as expected. Longevity is a generous 4-5 hours. Even though it is quite thin, I do found my lips to be a little hydrated once this is taken off. They are neither drying nor moisturising.

This are my first dip into matte finish and they are so creamy and comfortable to wear, I can't believe it. They aren't dull colours either with a little bit of the whole colour spectrum which I love cause they aren't going to wash me out.

Available:
From Priceline, discount chemists and pharmacies for $14 4.2g/0.15oz.
