Maybelline Brow Satin

Packaging:
Thicker circular black tube. One end contains a mechanical pencil wax. The wax is 2cm in length with a flat square end. The cap snaps on securely. The other end is coloured to match the shade of the product. The spring loaded screw end reveals a tear drop pointed foam applicator. Inside the end that isn't attached to the tube is the solid power portion. While it doesn't spill out, the spring loaded applicator must rub the foam against this portion to get more product.

Smell/Taste:
None.

Colour:
Dark Blonde.
Powder - medium brown with cool undertones. Medium pigmentation
Wax Pencil - medium brown with cool undertones. Sheer pigmentation
Available in 3 shades. This is the lightest.

Formula/ Texture:
The powder is a smooth, soft and fine consistency. The wax is thick and hard wax consistency. I do find I have to work the wax pencil a bit more to get the colour to transfer which doesn't help in those times when you need to get out the door asap.

I have found the tip to snap off easily when wound up too high and equal amounts of heavy pressure. Again annoying and a waste of product.

The powder does cover a large area due the width of the foam applicator which can get messy for finer brows. I thought the tip on the applicator would produce a finer look. Instead the foam squishes up against the skin with pressure. Easing off the pressure to get the finer tip, doesn't give you the same product coverage.

I feel like this is a lose/lose situation. You either put up with the wide line and clean up the excess after OR spend more time with less pressure to get the finer line.

I do think it's a great product for beginners to figure out how to fill in and do their brows without much technique required. It seems to be easier too over a brow compact as it has more precision.
