Pantene Dry Shampoo Volume Booster

Image
Packaging: Round white metal aerosol can with a wide nozzle and clear cap. The spray itself has a wide gap at the very end of it and is very concentrated closer to the can. Smell: Nice & floral. Colour: Clear when rubbed in. White in concentration. Formula/ Texture: This is one of those dry shampoos that you want to hold as far back from your head as possible as the spray is wider at the end and has a long reach. So I do think this is easy to use and very easy to comb the dry shampoo in. The formula contains tapioca which claims to absorb oil which this defiantly does. It does make my hair feel cleaner and not weighed down. However  this does have a slightly gritty texture when you run your fingers through it, especially if you've spray a hell of a lot. It did take the shine out of my hair and provide volume to my hair too which I loved cause I still feel as though I can style it however I want. This is okay it does a pretty good job. The o...

Sephora Haul | Jan 2015

Argh it's that time of the year! New year - new makeup. I missed out on the VIB sale back in November due to their website failure which I wasn't happy about. There was things I wanted/ needed as soon as I could to replace the low items I have currently. Make Up Forever HD Primer $16 I tried this back in July of 2012 as part of the complexion starter kit. It came with a travel sized primer, loose powder and full sized HD foundation. It was when I was on my 'ultimate foundation' kick. I am in love with the foundation, the looser powder was okay and gave me a white cast at times. The primer is that I didn't have a strong opinion for either way. I am excited to start using it again and put it through rough conditions. I did love how this wasn't a silicone formula and more of a moisturising primer. Lit Cosmetics  Summer Sparkle Kit $20 This is a new product for me. I have never ever owned a glitter, pressed or loose before. I am extremely e...

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

Image
Packaging: The palette comes in an old school style cardboard box that has pink diamond print with gold accents and a massive brown TF logo. The palette is metal with a magnetic closure which I like. It's a deep brown colour and shaped into a typical chocolate bar palette which is fun complete with square block grooves. Inside the lid contains a mirror which takes up ¾ of the lid with a gold chocolate bar text.  The bottom is the 16 eyeshadows. The shade names are printed on a plastic oversheet. While it doesn't bother me, in a rush this has gotten in the way. I sit it up in the lid and refer to the shades that way if needed. 3 look Glamour Guide is also included. The packaging is cute and creative! They used the whole candy bar/ chocolate theme throughout which I love cause it's consistent and unique in a draw full of palettes. Smell: Chocolate! Colour: Top Row Gilded Ganache - cool deep brown with green influences and a gold shimmer finish. Whit...

Kat Von D Tattoo Liquid Eyeliner

Image
Packaging: Slim and short circular tub with a spring loaded tension click on lid. This means it'll take a lot of effort for the lid to come off. The tube is black with silver text and embellishment elements. The brush tip applicator is 1cm long ending to a extremely fine tip making it great for thin or thick lines. The tip is quite flexible meaning the brush hairs are rigid at the base and not likely to flare out. The pen itself is very lightweight and when you move the pen you can hear the metal ball inside. Smell: None. Colour: Tropper - intense black with a semi matte finish. This is the only colour and has very intense pigmentation. Formula/ Texture: This is a thin and smooth liquid. It is very easy to apply either a thick or thin line using the tip or flat side and comes off with a basic makeup wipe. I do think it has a lot to do with the flexible tip and solid base. There is no skipping or dragging. This doesn't smudge, run or fade t...

Swisspers Aloe Soothing Eye Cream

Image
Packaging: Long  white plastic matte squeeze tube with a purple screw on lid. The nib is quite long and thick but the opening is the normal 4mm. Smell: Cream. Colour: White. Formula/ Texture: This is a smooth, thin cream. It applies and absorbs quickly and easily into the skin. The formula doesn't have any parabola or sulphates which is something I'm getting into for my skincare as it's reassuring to know there's no gunk in it. It also has vitamins A & E and Q10 which are known to help with anti ageing properties from the research I've done. I've notice fine lines soften and I want to do as much as I can in the anti ageing category. It is very soothing too thanks to the aloe and jojoba antioxidants that helps to reduce puffiness. More importantly this does moisturise under the eyes. If I can be picky I'd love if I can still feel this hydration by lunch time on a hot summers day. I haven't had any skin irritatio...
