Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara

Packaging:
This is the most unique and distinct feature of the mascara. It's a shiny plastic, dark metallic purple quilted tube. This almost feels quite flexible, as if a normal round mascara tube has been covered in some shiny material. It has 'tarte' engraved on the front side. The wand is skinny and long with short wire bristles.

Smell:
Waxy.

Colour:
This comes in the one shade which is Black.

Formula/ Texture:
This is a standard mascara texture. Not too runny but not heavy or thick.  It's easy to apply and the longer length of the bristle head with the shorter bristles makes it easier to get closer to the roots and the bottom lashes. It does take a bit of effort to remove with a basic makeup wipe.

There is no smudging, flaking or transferring on me. I love how black this formula is coating every lash. I am amazed at how it separates my lashes and with no spidery look!! I absolutely love this. I will insert a photo but it did provide me with some length, not as much as I have gotten with other mascaras but decent enough. This may be hard to see with the eyeliner on. It does provide some curl to my lashes but starts to drop after 6hrs.

The volume is what gets me about this mascara. One coat is a very natural look, while two and three really pump up the volume especially from the root really giving that illusion of full and thick lashes. This is exactly what I want as my lashes aren't naturally too long. Good thing is that these will go perfectly with fake lashes.

Tate as a brand is known for their natural ingredients and this mascara has no paragons/ sulfates/ synthetic fragrances/ synthetic dyes/ petrochemicals phthalates. It does have skin invigorating ingredients in the formula. These include rich bran wax (helps with the length), carnauba wax (smooth application), provitamin B5 (treats and thickens lashes) and olive esters and mineral pigments (offer a soothing and softening properties).

I don't notice my lashes being or feeling particularly nourish or conditioned once it has been removed. However my lashes have never felt brittle with any mascara at all. I have also only been using this for a month now too so I'll report back and do an update it I do notice this.

I absolutely love this mascara!! LOVE. It's a lot more affordable then the Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill and really close to Benefits They're Real! mascara. Defiantly give this a try if you want to try something new.

Available:
Only from Sephora stores, sephora.com for US$19 for 0.24oz.
