Maybelline Colour Sensational Vivid Lipstick

Image
Packaging: Very light bright orange plastic square casing with a silver tube. The twist up mechanism is easy to use and no problems with it. This is typical packing of Maybelline lipstick ranges. The bullet is a standard slanted tip. It does feel cheap and not as substantial compared to other brands. Smell: Vanilla. Colour: 902 Fuchsia Flash - bright pink with blue undertones. 885 Vibrant Mandarin - orange red with blue undertones. Opaque pigmentation with a satin finish. Builable colour. Available in 7 shades. Formula/ Texture: This is thin and creamy in consistency. It's easy to apply straight from the tube with no lipliner needed. It does have a sheen to it that adds that 'I've also applied lipgloss on top' look. The shine disappears when in contact with anything like all lip products, but the colour itself I found to last a generous 4-5 hours which I'm enjoying. With this shade there is a slight remainder ...

Olay Age Defying Series Eye Gel

Image
Packaging: Small, palm sized, glass container with black screw off lid. I think it's quite a cute size but it's a little worrying against the price. Smell: None. Colour: Clear. Formula/ Texture: This is simply a gel consistency. It's easy to apply and absorb. The formula does contain cucumber extract which adds a refreshing feel to the eyes. It is lightweight and doesn't leave any film on pillows. You do need a pea sized amount for both eyes, which worries me that this eye gel will be use dup quickly. I decided to try this for the reduction of puffy eyes and dark circles. I do believe the cooling feeling from the cucumber extract is the only reason why this works well in these areas. I find it to be quite hydrating. I wouldn't say this is an awesome eye product it does alright. For $19 I'm sure there is another eye cream that is good. Available: From Priceline, pharmacies and discount department store...

Swippers Natural Aloe Face Wipes

Packaging: These are like any other face wipes- they come in a plastic square with a resealable lid. However this lid is hard plastic that actually snaps shut to better seal the moisture in the packaging so they don't dry up as fast. I love how handy this feature is! Yes its a small changes to the packaging but not only does it mean the bottom wipes won't dry up as quicker, I don't have to be as careful with the opening and closing of the packaging. THIS is what I have been waiting for my face wipes!! Smell: Faint perfume smell. Colour: Clear. Formula/ Texture: I did try the green tea variety from their standard range in the beginning of the year, but these ones have more of natural ingredients in them. Unlike those ones there is actually a decent amount of 'remover' product per wipe. The wipe glides over my face with no tugging or pulling and I find easily removes the makeup including long wearing mascara. It's...

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara

Image
Packaging: This is the most unique and distinct feature of the mascara. It's a shiny plastic, dark metallic purple quilted tube. This almost feels quite flexible, as if a normal round mascara tube has been covered in some shiny material. It has 'tarte' engraved on the front side. The wand is skinny and long with short wire bristles. Smell: Waxy. Colour: This comes in the one shade which is Black. Formula/ Texture: This is a standard mascara texture. Not too runny but not heavy or thick.  It's easy to apply and the longer length of the bristle head with the shorter bristles makes it easier to get closer to the roots and  the bottom lashes. It does take a bit of effort to remove with a basic makeup wipe. There is no smudging, flaking or transferring on me. I love how black this formula is coating every lash. I am amazed at how it separates my lashes and with no spidery look!! I absolutely love this. I will insert a photo but it d...

Nails | OPI Ballet Slippers

Image
This is a light pink with cool undertones. It is very sheer and flat in colour. It's opaque in three coats. I love how this is an everyday colour. It goes with everything and chipping isn't that noticeable. It's also very chic as well. I like wearing this only on my fingers when I don't know what colour to wear especially for an occasion. There'll always be room in my collection for a light baby pink.

Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Mascara

Image
Packaging: Smooth sleek metal round tube. It has 'Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill' engraved in the bottom portion of the tube. The tube is surprising quite heavy. It's not something I'd notice in a mascara but compared to all my other tubes it's noticeable. This adds to the luxe/ exclusive feel of the brand. The wand is a wire bristle. Smell: Typical mascara. Colour: Shade 1 - Very Black. Also available in a waterproof formula. Formula/ Texture: This is a thick and smooth liquid. It is surprisingly easy to remove with a basic makeup wipe. It doesn't take much effort to apply this, just wriggling this at the base and through your lashes. It hasn't caused any irritations or itchiness. I do find a tiny bit of smudging only if this is on my lower lash line. My lashes don't feel stiff or dried out even with two coats. The pigmentation of this formula is dense black but for some reason I fell like it's not as dark as...
