Revlon Colorburst Lipbutter

Image
When these lip butters a hybrid between a lip balm and a lipstick, I knew I had to try some when I was able to get my hands on them when they finally  did arrive in Australia. Packaging: Each lip butter comes in a twist up tube with the lid a sheer frosted colour matching the shade that glides over the top. On top of the square tubes is a clear square that also shows you what colour the lip butter is. The bottom of the tube is the shade name and number. The sleeve lid has two sides that are plain frosted and the other two frosted with the criss cross pattern found across the colorburst range. Smell: None. Colour: Sugar Frosting - flat baby pink. Sheer pigmentation with a satin finish, I feel as though this is the most wearable as it has natural undertones meaning that it suits everyone. To get the colour seen in the bullet does require some ...

Sigma Dry 'n Shape Brush Dryer

Image
Packaging: This is a brush roll with elastic loops that the bristles sit in to speed up the drying time of the brushes in 4-6hrs. The Dry'n Shape is made out of this synthetic plastic that feels velvety with the label branded on the outside. It opens to a try fold with different sized elastic loops along the top and brush pockets along the bottom.  There are two magnetic clasps on the right side of the roll that helps keep the roll in shape when turned around in a circle so it can stand up. Results: The idea is to but the bushes into the loops going from the top pulling it all the way so the bottom of the bristles sit inline with the bottom of the loop. Here's a 3 step guide to using the Dry 'n Shape. STEP 1:  Wash your brushes using a mild shampoo or brush cleanser. STEP 2:  Gently press the bristles to remove any excess water. Place the clean, damp brushes into the Dry’n Shape using the smallest b...

Revlon Colorstay Lipgloss

Image
Packaging: The packaging is similar to the colorburst lipsticks. The tube itself is a clear square. The lid is the criss cross black found on the lipsticks with the silver label. The wand is very long, which is a lil weird to get used to at the beginning but is actually quite handy. Not only does it reach all the way to the bottom of the tube (uh I would hope Revlon would manufacture them like so), it makes it less invading on your lips when you put some gloss on. As in you don't feel like the handle is right on your mouth when your applying it. The shape of the applicator is unique and the first I have seen of it. It's not the typical doe foot, whilst it still is sponge. The shape reminds me of a spatula, where in the middle is flat and thin. It doesn't feel as though it picks up too much product so a lot isn't dispensed onto the lips but an even application in one swipe. So the product is defiantly buildable. S...

Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream - #2 Steel

Image
Packaging: It comes in this black little box with the shade number on the top. I am actually quite surprised at how large the pot is, I thought less would have been included. The cream shadow comes in a twist off clear bottom and a shiny black lid. The lid has the brand in white writing on it, while the base of the bottom half has shade information. It feels sturdy and good quality, as in I don't think that with normal usage and wear and tear that there will be any breakage in the plastic. Smell: Wax. Colour: #2 Steel - brown/sliver colour with multi dimensional shimmer and cool undertones. Opaque pigmentation with a shimmer finish. Available in 22 shades. It is the same shade that Ms Britney Spears used in her video clip "Hold It Against Me". It just looked like a neutral brown yet a little darker but still sultry. Yep I defiantly...

Lush Haul

Image
OMG OMG OMG!!! So I have seen pics of lush stuff, watched haul videos, then found an Australian sight WITH a store no far from me, which lead to more looking online and wanting, and finally today I went with a friend and brought my first ever Lush products!! :) American Cream - Hair Conditioner This is a double-strength conditioning conditioner, I wanted something that would be similar to a deep leave in conditioner. Lush say that American Cream was "inspired by a vision of 1950s US milk bars, bright red-leather-and-chrome, neon-lit cafes, where teenagers would meet and drink frothy, fruity milkshakes. Our creamy conditioner is what the girls would have used to make their hair soft before going out on a date, dressed up in their bobby socks and circular skirts."  This smells so nice, like vanilla with honey, vanilla, strawberries and oranges geez I just wanna eat it! I have used this and while my hair feels weird and rough once this has been rinsed out, when...

Model Co Eye Brows Designer Brow Kit

Image
Packaging: Pink! Pink! PINK! So I 90% got this eyebrow kit because of the colour, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. The compact comes in a shiny, smooth plastic pink lid with the brand name in white text near the opening section. The bottom half is made up of the same plastic but in white. When you open up the compact, on the lid is a full width mirror, with frosted 'think pink' bottom right corner. The base of the compact is white, divided into quarters length ways; the first holds the mini tweezers (also pink), next is the brow wax & powder then the final quarter has the mini spoolie brow brush & 2 angled brushes (one for wax & one for powder). Each brow tool has a silver funnel and a white end. There is a secret slide out bottom section of the compact which has the 4 brow shape stencils. These stencils help to shape your brows in either 4 different styles depending on what you prefer for your brows. ...

Sigma Make Me Blush Professional Brush Kit

Image
Packaging The kit comes in this cute square cardboard box with the list of brushes included on the side. There are four different "sets" each with their own colour that is reflected on the outside packaging  with the little rabbit/mouse like cartoon. This kit is $109 available from sigma beauty.com with reasonable shipping rate & price to Australia. The container is more of a hot pink round tube. It comes in two parts; a top & bottom container which I separate into face & eye brushes. The container snaps together by the two snaps either side of the contains. The material feels like synthetic leather and is very thick card or some sort of plastic. I love this container. Not only can it be used in every day life by having the two separate containers to store brushes, it also is travel friendly, portable, sturdy, easy to clean, keeps the inside dry (water proof) & durable. Pretty much all you need for your brushes, an all-in-one. The bru...
