NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder

This bronzer is a bronze plastic shiny compact. On the inside of the lid is a mirror filling up the full area. The powder is embossed with a sun shape, with a slight dome in the centre of the 'sun'. There is a clear plastic overlay that stops powder rubbing onto the round disc sponge included.

This compact is pretty slim. I do feel like the hinge that ones the compact is flimsy as t's made out of plastic and will break with daily continual use if I'm not careful with it. I haven't used the sponge yet as I don't feel as though that's the best way to apply this bronzer. The sponge does feel a little on the thin side so it may not apply much bronzer at all.

Colour:

#720A Sunny- bronze with a slight yellow undertone. Sheer pigmentation with a matte finish.

Texture/ Formula:

It's a smooth, fine powder.  It is lightweight on the skin. It's easy to apply with a brush, I use Sigma F05 Small Contouring Brush. I find the blending to be a bit chalking, so it's not something that can be applied in any fashion. This is especially true if a thick layer is applied. Work in light layers building up to the desired depth. I do find the longevity to be 6 hours before fading. There no fall out.

I only use this bronzer for contouring as it's the only matte bronzer I can get my hands on. I think this bronzer is ok. It doesn't look too muddy or orange on me but can if I apply too much.

Compared to the other bronzers I have, they are on par in texture and formula, they differ in colour. NARS Laguna is more cool undertones with a slight shimmer, Too Faced Chocolate Soleil is more cool undertoned and Benefit Hoola Box Powder is a lighter colour.

I do think that this bronzer will suit all skin tones. I think it'll look better on warm undertones especially on medium skin. So if this is you then this is up your alley.
