Covergirl Eyeshadow Quad #215 Country Woods

I wanted to try some neutral shades of eyeshadows to wear everyday and that will complement every look and outfit that I do. I decided to give Covergirls' eyeshadow quads a go.
Packaging:
The palette has a clear lid. It comes with a double ended sponge tip applicator. One end has a pointed sponge and the other end a square sponge. I wouldn't really use these unless there was no brushes handy such as when your travelling.

Smell:
None.

Colour:
#215 Country Woods. All colours have sheer pigmentation. (1) neutral light brown with a slight silver shimmer, (2) warm undertoned mid brown with gold shimmer, (3) neutral undertoned cream with slight sliver shimmer, (4) light brown colour with gold shimmer. These come in other colours and Covergirl have launched specific colour eyeshadows for the different eye colours to enhance them.

Texture/Formula:
They are smooth texture with a slight buttery consistency not being chalky at all. They have average longevity, with the colour starting to fade around 6hrs. No glitter fallout either.

They are easy to apply and blend. The colours appear more sheer and lighter when swatched and on the lid compared to  the pan. Good if you want a light application, bad if you want them to be true to colours as they require to be built up.

This is a great everyday neutral brown palette for beginners as the shades come of more sheer so colour paring mistakes aren't as noticeable. It might not show up as much on darker skin though but great to experiment with.

Packaging: Small clear tube with white screw lid with brush tip applicator. Smell: None. Colour: Ruby red colour. Light coverage/ sheer pigmentation with a natural finish. On the cheeks it is a lot more sheered out and is more pink looking. Texture/ Formula: This is a quite runny and thin. It absorbs and sinks into the skin quite quickly. So it must be applied onto one cheek at a time, blending it immediately. This is my first tint so I had a hard time adjusting to the application method as I ended up with blotches of tint that no powder could fix. A small amount goes a long way. I do use my fingers to apply this and the blending is easier then a brush. This does leave a slight stain on my fingertips. Benefit They're Real! Mascara

I got this sample size from The Champions of Bronze kit. Packaging: Shiny gunmetal wand handle with a gunmetal tube. The wand as long plastic bristles with a spiked ball at the end of it. This ball utilises the end of the mascara wand and reaches into the smaller lashes in the inner corner of the eye. Smell: Just the usual mascara smell. Colour: Black. Opaque pigmentation. Formula/ Texture: This is more of a wet mascara but with a really thin scraper that doesn't leave any clumps of mascara on the wand. It's a thinner wand which made applying it easy. I wasn't going through my lashes trying to separate my lashes and then add volume then back to separating a clump. Theres no flaking or transferring. It's is easily removed with makeup wipes.
