MAC Nutcracker Sweet Face Compacts [Nutcracker Sweet Holiday 2016]

Packaging:
This is the standard lipstick packaging from MAC, however miniature sized being ¾ overall then the typical. It's in a small short round bullet with a round tip cap. The whole packaging is the holiday edition 'MAC Nutcracker Sweet' neon hot pink top and black and gold roped cross pattern to mimic the shoulder uniforms of nutcrackers. The cap has matching gold 'MAC' text. Inside reveals shiny, reflective black mechanisms with the same gold text.

The lipstick bullet twists up with ease and I have never experienced any problems. The lipstick bullet is skinny being miniature with a standard slant. The same makes them great to test colours and travel with.

All come housed in a sturdy card box and pull out draw. The box features the same colour scheme and pattern with the deep purple featured as a background colour to the neon pink stars. It's topped off with a fabric gold knot as the handle for the pull out draw. It's great this can be repurposed and act as storage.

Pleasure Model - moderately warm-toned, dark copper. Satin finish
Whisper Of Guilt - gold with multi coloured shimmer and warm undertones. Shimmer finish

 Peach:
Tutu - very warm-toned, light beige, Metallic finish.
At Dusk - very warm-toned, medium pink. Satin finish

Formula/ Texture:
This is a thin, smooth and creamy consistency. It glides so effortlessly on the lips with no tugging or skipping at all, which is surprising for a matte finish from MAC. They must have updated their formula as it's more creamy feeling, especially on the lips. It feels lightweight and comfortable on the lips otherwise. It is easily removed with a basic makeup wipe with a bit of colour left behind.

I didn't experience any bleeding or feathering but I did use a clear/transparent lip liner. A liner coloured closer to this shade will help this look perfect for longer. This did transfer a bit onto food and drink with the only noticeable settling noticed mentioned in the shades. Overall it lasted 6-8 hours on my lips.

The formula contains Vitamin E to protect the lips and extend wear of the lipstick. I feel as though this is a re formulated matte formula as it's so creamy. It does cling onto dry lips a little bit so exfoliated and hydrated lips will make this look better.

This shade is very nice and perfect for cooler months on my olive skin tone. The LE packaging is a unique combination and very girly twist on the traditional Christmas theme. Finally packaging that is actual serves a purpose beyond being brought home - great wastage minimising!

Packaging: Small clear tube with white screw lid with brush tip applicator. Smell: None. Colour: Ruby red colour. Light coverage/ sheer pigmentation with a natural finish. On the cheeks it is a lot more sheered out and is more pink looking. Texture/ Formula: This is a quite runny and thin. It absorbs and sinks into the skin quite quickly. So it must be applied onto one cheek at a time, blending it immediately. This is my first tint so I had a hard time adjusting to the application method as I ended up with blotches of tint that no powder could fix. A small amount goes a long way. I do use my fingers to apply this and the blending is easier then a brush. This does leave a slight stain on my fingertips. Benefit They're Real! Mascara

I got this sample size from The Champions of Bronze kit. Packaging: Shiny gunmetal wand handle with a gunmetal tube. The wand as long plastic bristles with a spiked ball at the end of it. This ball utilises the end of the mascara wand and reaches into the smaller lashes in the inner corner of the eye. Smell: Just the usual mascara smell. Colour: Black. Opaque pigmentation. Formula/ Texture: This is more of a wet mascara but with a really thin scraper that doesn't leave any clumps of mascara on the wand. It's a thinner wand which made applying it easy. I wasn't going through my lashes trying to separate my lashes and then add volume then back to separating a clump. Theres no flaking or transferring. It's is easily removed with makeup wipes.
