NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder

Packaging:
The powder comes in the standard NARS packaging which is in a NARS cardboard packaged black box, however unlike the blushes this is has it's own sleeve, sponge puff. Nice touch but not something I'll use. The compact has a soft velvet matte finish with a snap closure and standard white 'NARS' text on the front. It is larger and the size of your hand.

Some people find it hard to keep clean as with use, loose powder catches onto the outside. It also has a clear plastic divider with black 'NARS' text on top of the powder itself to capture loose powder and a full width mirror on the inside of the lid.

Smell/Taste:
None.

Colour:
Translucent - white in the pan. When swatched, hardly any colour comes off. It takes multiple swatches for pigmentation to build up and then still sheers out. I can see very fine micro glitter in the swatch but can't see this translated to the face.

Formula/ Texture:
This is a very fine, silky, smooth powder. It is easily applied and blended into the face with any choice of brush. It does feel very weightless on. Being translucent it's not visible on makeup removal but there is no silky feel left on the face, so a basic makeup wipe will remove this.

The purpose of this powder is to reduce the appearance of shine, pores, fine lines & wrinkles. It enhances the overall look of foundation & base makeup so skin is visible smooth but undetectable powder. It's hard to go heavy handed with this, but when you do you can see a slight white cast on the face.

For me, I don't see immediate results but I do after a few minutes. You don't feel as though the powder you apply is doing much. It does as it clams, the skin just looks smoother and I like it. Being a translucent colour I can't comment on longevity but I didn't see shine until 7 hours later.

The formula contains photochromic technology that diffuse light & adjusts to new light sources, so your skin always looks it's best. It is non comedogenic, paraben and fragrance free.

I like the results, I don't know if it's really something amazing and outstanding enough for me to buy again.
